Congragulations to the whole BassCat company and employee’s. I have Known scince 1985 and my 1st cat that you have a quality product (4 cats and all good).![]()
I use the Aurora cover and pull mine with the cover most of the time as I am pulling anywhere from 200-400 miles most of the time, and have not had any major issues with the cover though as stated before you must cinch it down tight and also I took the buckles off and ran the staps thru some short pieces of hose so that the straps would not get too worn where they contact the trailer.
gray trailer, white fenders, 01 p3
Welcome the BassCat Family!!! And good luck next year on tour.
Joe Fuerst
My 01 P3 w/ 2006 200 Opti is a very good runner with the 26 tempest with 2 holes plugged and 1 with the small hole, holeshot is not the fastest in the summer down here with 90-95deg temps but I am still getting 73-74 on the gps with full tanks, livewels and myself and my 13 year old son. I have the propshaft 2 3/4″ below pad. With one person and full load I will hit 74.5-75. in the winter I will have to change to a 27 pitch because I hit the rev limiter when the air temp gets below 75 and the humidity drops.Hope this answers some of your questions.Joe FuerstHouma, La.
I agree on running up the river and would go to around the PP highway bridge and use a 4-5″ rapala minnow or similar around any laydowns and also flip a jig to the same. I grew up fishing those waters in a rowboat and my mom lives about 3 miles from the bridge I mentioned. There is also a good stumpfield about a half mile before the bridge that can be very good this time of year along the channel thru it. My personal best fish (8.4#) came off a big stump along that channel a few years ago.Good Luck!Joe FuerstHouma, La.
Great, I am scheduling my vacation today.
I have an 01 P3 and can say I would put it against anyones boat in a comparison. It has a smooth ride and is pretty fast to boot (in the fall thru spring 75-76mph, in the summer 73-74mph). Plus it will still get into some pretty skinny water where I like to fish in the marsh.
Good luck, may your deer be plenty!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Fuerst family
Yep, I prefer the days myself, and your right that it cant get here soon enough. The only problem is it doesnt last long enough. But no vacation ever will.
Congragulations again!!!! I can say for myself that I have known this for years. It is nice to see all of you at Basscat are getting the recognition you deserve.

I tried it last year, but the schedule I work makes keeping up impossible, though it was fun while it lasted.
When Thomas marine was a Cat dealer they recomended Dear Fiberglass in Gonzales, but I never got to use them as they were so busy after the hurricanes. I would call them or the new Cat dealer and find out who they recomend.
