We tried that for hours. Everything is so difficult to get to, so bunched together, zip tied together and can’t pull anything through. I was going to by pass the Y and hook direct but could not pull the ends through to disconnect from the Y. Thank you for the input.

We bought it Hall’s Marine in Muncy, PA. If there is a diagram of the wiring, or even knowing how long the y port is would be good. The only place along the cockpit to access the wires from the console to the stern are behind the shift lever panel.

well, that is sounding more promising. I was afraid of pulling other cables or electrical wires and causing damage. I will try that. Thank you for help. Love the boat! Absolutely best boat I’ve owned for sure.

I ended up with a defective sea star jack plate, 5080R, and have some issues getting replacement. Just found out that the standard 5080R is not a compatible replacement and it needs to be specifically 5080R-BC, for bass cat. Just an FYI. It took 2 days on the phone with Sea Star, now Dometic, and they finally determined the bass cat compatible is a specific mounting bracket design and I am finally getting the correct one shipped. Fingers crossed. The warranty people have taken notes and will discuss with the higher ups to add the “BC” to the model number sticker to avoid confusion in the future.

UPDATE: Starting week 3 without a boat. Sea star (Dometic) warranty contact person Trevor will not return my email or my voice message. He assured me the correct 5080R-SRK-BC jack plate would be overnighted, and of course it was not delivered and Trevor will not answer my request for a tracking number so I can follow the shipment. Question is-will Bob’s machine 8″ setback for bass cat bolt right on with the existing transom holes for the original sea star jack plate without drilling more holes? I am beyond frustrated at this point. This is a 2023 Cougar FTD that’s been in the water less than a dozen times. A lot of money for it to be sitting in a service shop and can’t fish. Thanks for any info.
