The lake is fishing really good right now. Lots of fish in the 2 and 3 lb range. The big ones are not far behind as the water temp has reached the 60 degree mark. Its only 3 feet low and a few more spring rains and it will be in the bushes. The grass is doing really well and is out to about 9 ft in places. Eveeyone should be able to have a great time and catch alot of fish. Its going to be a great tournament and and good year for Big Sam.

The dust cover is water repellant. You wouldnt want to leave it outside with water standing on it for a long period of time. It does great for what it is, a dust cover.

Phil you named every area in the lake, good guide advice! As far as running the lake the south end is easier to run and will probably be better fishing in April than the north end. Most all the fish up north will be in post spawn and Some fish down south will still be spawning. Also the south end has more hydrilla so there are many different techniques to catch them. The fish are ready to spawn now if the weather would cooperate. Water temps are 58-61 with the fish staged in the drains on the edges of the spawning flats. Caught numerous fish last weekend in 3-6 ft of water.

I fished the BASS Weekend Series tournament yesterday. Took 23 lbs to win. This week is going to be very good. With the warm weather the end of last week the fish moved up on the beds. This week will be a great sight fishing week. The fishing has been really good and I caught a lot of fish in practice in the 3-5 lb range. Should be an awesome tournament with lots of fish caught.

It will be won sight fishing. Just go in any of the pockets looking. There are alot up on beds. I had 18lbs Saturday in the weekend series tournament and they came out of 2 feet of water.

They should have stayed on their side if you gave them that option. As far as the McDonalds goes I talked to the guy that was involved in the wreck. Everyone is ok just banged up. Neither boat said they seen each other. I also fished it and dealing with people who only fish one time a year is hard to do. I was so mad and tired of dealing with idiots I didnt even go out today.

In the winter I would run a 27 fury and a 26 in the summer.
