Did I mention the smart craft guages, or the new gator mount? I will be picking up my hull on March 12 so if you need a great hull in the southern states, times almost up.Doug Last edited by Doug B on March 2nd, 2011, 11:58 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Welome to Canada, and you picked a great place to fish!!!! BUT in the last three week Rideau has been pounded hard with two large events and this weekend one of our Classics is Friday to Sunday! Now that may sound like much compared to the stories Ive heard in the US but this lake can not take the pressure and is fishing tough! I hope you bring your boat because within 40 minutes are 10 plus lakes just as good and no tournies, so amazing Fishing. If you have to fish Rideau, the largies are scattered from one foot to 20 and the smallies are from 5 to 40, weed rock is the best , but just find bait and you will find them. Im home for just one day(7am THursday I leave) and then Im gone back for our Classic, so send me a PM with your # and I will call you to tell you the best areas and local lakes that have a problem with to many 4lbersDoug Brownridge

Lake St Clair, where this pic is from, was worse I think when we went back on Saturday Morning. The stupid thing is that, if our boats wouldnt drive so good in the rough stuff, we would have done better in the fun event, as all the top bags (22+ smallmouth) came from near the ramp, not 20 miles away where this is!Doug

I have a Puma FTD with a 250 Merc and run a 25 all year, May till Nov. (Canadian thing). Had a 26 but had problems getting on plane with a full load, fuel, and live wells, not a good idea on big water. I run 74 everyday at around 5900 and have never hit the limiter, I have done 78 by myself going down river on the St Lawrence, but was to busy driving to see how close I was to hitting.Ive never seen the reason for chasing that extra speed as Ive found reliability to be more beneficial in tournaments, But after my recent trip to Grand Lake, I can now see why some people chase it as I found lots of flat water on a day with 40 mph winds, NOT a Canadian thing! I would like to thank my 2 helpers from this board for steering me to the right areas on Grand. Grand lake is like nothing Ive ever seen up north and I would have been lost with out them. I cant wait to return in April for my event.Doug Brownridge
