I fish Sam Rayburn , had the 52 ” ultrex if it was coming out of the water it was to rough to fish anyway… also when going up show I have to raise it uo so high it gets in the way of casting.  I was wondering if any of pros pros that are running it where saying they needed longer or if 47″ was  good for a puma ftd.thanks

I didnt say the 52″ wasnt long enough.I said if the 52″ was coming out of the water  then it was to rough to be on the lake in general ..I only asked because I’ve heard that with the bigger boats  the 47″ wasnt long enough. But then guys say with bass cat the 47″ was long enough for big water.  My bad

Thanks for the input. Mine is being installed this week . They said that the 52″ wouldnt be ready till june july anyway.. but I heard that the 47 was long enough for a puma and lynx!! Like you said my 52 ultrex was just to much  when it was racked back any and i had to put all my rods on one side or I’d smash reel handles amd stuff if i didnt watch it … thanks .
