Email sent with a few questions and a request for a couple more pictures. Let me know if you didnt get it.
Hmmm… I sent it to your updated email earlier this morning. In any event, if you have any more pictures you can email me, please send them to [email protected] Also I have a few quick questions (these were in the email):Any stress cracks or dings in the hull? Do you have the pro aeration on the livewell (pump out)?Have you had a motor compression test done recently? If so what were the numbers? Do you have maintenance records? Has the motor been rebuilt and do you have the hours on it?Does the trailer have a swing tongue? Looked like it from the pictures but wanted to confirm…Does anything at all not currently work on the boat (like gauges, lights, etc.) or motor (trim, etc.)?Do you have title in hand for the boat, motor and trailer?Where in Texas are you located? I am in Austin…Thanks for your time and feel free to email me the answers to these questions or post them here on the Forum (I check it often.. as in daily)!Tight lines,Andrew
Thank you so much for the quick reply and the reassuring words!I got your message and will give yall a call mid-week (when things slow down and the real parts/boating emergencies can be dealt with after the break).Tight lines,Andrew
Your understanding of the law is also mine. Hate to admit it, but after my conversation with the other drive and his complete disregard for any responsibility, I was a bit flustered and didnt get numbers. In any event I dont think the repairs (new rivets) will cost more than 1/10 of my deductible. Even if I ended up having to get a complete new assembly the cost would still be less than my deductible. Sure my time to fix it also has value, but I dont factor that in…. I kind of like tinkering with my boat, just wish I was doing something more fun.
Just pulled the rail and there is no more damage. Only need to fix four rivets… I was lucky. On the insurance thing I get it. My deductible comment was based on the fact that I didnt get his numbers, Ive already gone home, and I doubt I will run into him again. The patrol boat did not record his numbers
2004 Pantera Classic with Dual Axle Trailer.Let me know if you need the serial number and I will email it to parts. Thanks, Bass Cat!
Is there a particular brand recommended by BCB?
I did throw a little WD40 on it. How long should I give it?How much force should I apply to get it to open.Yes, bow strap is released and the bolts are out.
How close to the joint do you recommend me hitting it? I am back at the office now, but will have time later this evening to deal with this….
Couple other things:The outboard motor is an EFI 2.5The boat also has a Minn Kota 3 bank on-board charger The Perko lock ($30) for the tackle compartment needs to be replaced. The lid still works and is functional.Last edited by GetFiveLures on July 8th, 2013, 6:02 pm, edited 1 time in total.

TTT with a new price: $16,000
Also, one thing I forgot to mention. The boat was doing the following in the afternoon when I got home yesterday as well as this morning: When you flip the master power switch, the light comes on but it is not as bright as it normally is, and no light for the fuel tank comes on on the A-Ten and none of the instruments work. Oh, and the livewell controls by the master power switch (pump water in/out) do not work either. If the key is in the ignition and turned on (not all the way to actually start the motor, but to get the gauges going and hear the beep) the master power switch light does not come on….
First, THANK YOU for the quick response. Got to love it when someone at Bass Cat replies at 7 AM on a Monday when you post your question at 6 AM.So are you saying I need to get a whole new A10 panel (I hope not because it show them being out of stock)? If not, what do you think I need to check and potentially replace? On the auto bilge, you would think that the auto option was selected due to them putting a float switch in the boat (why else would they have put it in there)? What could the unused wiring harness drop be if it was not hooked up to the float switch? How would I hook up a float switch if it doesnt plug in to that unused drop? Appreciate the help!
