highway wrote: I sent my unit to the Humminbird factory. They did not find anything wrong so the only thing they done was to down load the latest software information. I took out the boat and it still does the same thing. So the only thing I can think of that it is my transducer. They asked me about sending in my transducer but I advised that the transducer was installed by Basscat and was epoxied in. They said they could not send me a transducer with out checking out the old one. Is there anything I can do. I have a tourney to go to in 9 days. Thanks,Highway, I am sending you a PM requesting additional details regarding your set up of the 788c unit and you getting a transducer to test. Thank you,Deborah@ Humminbird

grimmjsg,Are you using just the SI transducer or are you using the SI transducer with a Y cable and a puck transducer for high speed applications? If you are using the SI transducer and a Y cable with the additional transducer for high speed , then we would recommend that you by-pass the Y cable and try each transducer plugged directly into the unit to determine if there is a problem with one of the transducers. If you are using the two transducers with the Y cable, the depth is being registered from the dual beam transducer and not the SI transducer. If you are only using the SI transducer and the problem is happening, have you tried to restore the defaults on the unit? Thank you,Deborah @ Humminbird
