Thats cool, I would have bet there would be a BIG difference between the two sizes just by looking at them. Thanks Phil

Im running another structure scan transducer on the trolling motor for the down scan view. I used the transducer mounts from Scap and Shirley at Transducer Shield and Saver, they are well worth it. Mike Thats exactly where I have it mounted now in my 20X. But Im considering putting a stbd rod rack in that compartment in the Puma. I thought about under the Drivers console like Phil mentioned but thought it may be better to be out of sight and dry in a compartment somewhere.Ive seen pics of the Transducer shields for the structure scan and they do look nice and rugged for sure.
All of these Cats are impressive. I just ordered my first Cat last night. A Puma FTD with a 250 E-tech. The hardest part of everything was picking a color scheme. They all look pretty and its tough to choose. I finally nailed it down and hope Im happy with it. I went with a Charcoal hull and cap with Malibu red hull insert and cap inserts. With sand trim and a Malibu red console. I cant wait to start seeing the progress on the Facebook page.
Thanks for the heads up on thatr promo code. Awesome deals there for sure. I ordered an inflatable vest, an inflatable waist style, and a few recharging kits for them for under $160 total shipping included and it shipped out same day.
Mark5795, They are an official dealer. Mine is the first one sold through there but thats the first step. They have not really been a bassboat dealer in the past but they have been in the boat business for ever. Their mechanics are super and they are very friendly and helpful. Getting people repaired and back on the water as fast as they can. Quality people for sure. Mine is charcoal grey, malibu red inserts and Sand trim. Ill try to get some good pics tomorrow and get them posted on here soon.Last edited by Maine Guide on March 26th, 2011, 2:38 am, edited 1 time in total.

Thanks for the input and links. Like I said I had the Cooks in my two previous boats and liked them. Was just thinking of trying something different this time, or doing a combination of the two systems. Im hoping I can glue directly to the padded lid without any issues. I really dont want to screw into the lids the way these are if I can help it. I also saw some good looking homemade rigs similiar the the cooks but made out of aluminum angle bar.
Definately going to Worcester Mass. Cant wait!!
Im a half hour drive north from the Portland Jetport. No Reindeer here!!! Hell we barely have any snow here right now. At least no where near normal. Ice on the lakes though. Cant wait for mid April to Mid May for the big pre-spawn Smallmouth bite to happen. Tough to get a jerkbait bite going through the ice!!

Thatd be cool. Pictures with the Cat Guys all together. Sounds good to me. We booked rooms at the Hampton Inn about 2 blocks away from the DCU Center, Short walk away. Looking forward to meeting you.
Ive got a 2011 Puma Ftd with the Etec 250 HO. 2 full seasons and a little under 200 hours so far with no problems. Ive been very Happy with this motor, strong quiet, and dependable. Not to mention Fast! Set up from the factory shes shown me 80 MPH with a lite load and me alone. Tournament load, heavy on fuel with my partner in the boat she can pull 77mph. I ran a 225 Merc Optimax prior to this and it blew up on me at around 30 hours and again 4 years later. Up here Ive seen a lot of Optimax powerhead failures. Theyre all great motors until it strands you on the lake miles from the ramp.
Merry Christmas to everyone at BassCat and to all of the family members.

Also, something about a first rounder + more for a guy named Kessel.Hey, were all hockey fans and it looks like therell be at least a little bit of a season.
Jons going to show em all that Mainers can fish with the best of em. Go Get em Jon!!!
