Hi pantera123, I noticed your question and wanted to offer some assistance. All Optima batteries are Spiralcell, lead-acid, AGM batteries. They are definitely not gel batteries and any chargers with “gel” or “gel/AGM” settings should be avoided. Normal lead-acid battery chargers willl work fine on Optimas under normal conditions, but the best chargers for Optimas are microprocessor-controlled and offer specific settings for AGM batteries.
