That is fixed or figured out by seat time. I would place the motor all the way down at first, coming out of the hole, till you feel your boat and understand where if performs.  To me it has always been a personal feel, and what I expected.  I am a speed guy, so I will run the motor up, when WOT, to where I feel safe and I get the boat up out of the water.  Safety first, remember this.  Develop the feel for your boat, your load and ride you will enjoy it.

OI is great, great family fun and atmosphere.  My advice, get a place to stay.  If you can not find a place out or around the lake, the city of Rogers is close where there is ample hotels, but most will want to stay out on the lake. Vacation Rental By Owners still have a few spots on the or around the lake as of yesterday.
