Making plans to be there. Are there any lake cut off rules etc. that I should know about?Last edited by PumaTrac on October 4th, 2007, 8:16 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Im glad someone got it!
Just wanted to touch base and let those of you that had read the initial post that the matter was cleared up. Ended up that I called Scott as was suggested and found out I had the wrong ladder. Scott sent me out a new one right away and I sent back the other one. Amazing, it fit! Just wanted to say thanks to Scott for the fast service and the advice of others to call him. Tight Lines………
Well once again I am in awe of this company. Great response from BCB and pleasent conversation with Bobby when I called to order. Hope the wind doesnt blow too much grass out of the ground! Thanks, I needed that.
Make sure of the door opening size on the rental unit! When I got mine, I wasnt thinking and didnt check. Luckily my Puma will go in with 3″ to spare on either side. The unit itself is more than big enough, but the doors could be bigger. No way am I backing it in without a spotter. Im good, but Im also getting older and less brave (stupid?). Congrats on the boat!
BCB….Thanks for the info. I had not taken into consideration the tongue weight. Ill add that to my “Are you smarter than a 5th grader?” file.
How about a tankless heater? Unlimited hot water, plenty of room and only lit when there is a demand for hot water. Just my 2 cents.
Did you look at the “Bounce Bumper” located a little farther down on the site page you listed?
Congrats on the new ride! Pick a color combination and Im sure someone owns it. The rasberry and tan looks great and Im sure youll be happy with it. Good luck and take your time learning to handle the new power potentials.
Its good to know that most trailer tire failures are caused by low tire air pressure. Low pressure will cause the tire to heat more and may cause them to blow out. Also, if you only had 11 lbs of pressure in them, they are below atmospheric pressure and may leak past the bead when submerged allowing water to get into the tire. This water may cause premature rotting of the tire casing. Just my $.02.
Hey Joey, It wasnt anything really important. I had a picture of him in his boat from the OI and thought he might want it. You can pass to him if you would that if hell provide me with his email address, Ill forward it to him. Thanks! Reid….
The Tacoma pulls fine. There are a couple of things to remember though…. : Small engine…plan on slow highway ramp entrances : Small brakes…plan on slow braking : Short wheel base…..Good for turning, bad for backing on the boat ramp….plan on getting wet : Towing gas milage probably wont be much better than a full size truck : Doesnt handle hills very well do to small engine.
Thanks Phil for the advice. I already have the Bounce Buster on the trolling motor. The crutch tip type. I was going to get a new pin this afternoon, but it started raining so I decided to wait. Probably a good thing too. Area I would have had to go to was hit by what theyre saying was a type 4 tornado. Hit part of a hospital and tore up the area pretty good. I still think Im going to look into the Ram Mount though. I dont see where a little extra protection will hurt. Shearing that pin kind of ticked me off as I wasnt even running when it happened. When the pin broke, it jammed up the mount so I couldnt extend the motor. End of fishing day. So, if anyone has the information on the Ram Mount and a supply source I would appreciate it.
I saw the report on them from your fish and game. The only thing I can say is kill everyone you come across. They can destroy your fishery. There is no way to catch and remove them now that theyre there. Its a matter of control now. Good luck! Weve got the same problem in Virginia and fish and game is telling us to kill them.
