I was running a Fury 3, 26 on my Puma FTD. I went to a Fury 4, 25. The hole shot and mid range performance is fantastic.
Not tripping any breakers.I am going to run some soapy water as suggested? Thanks
My boat is a 2011. I dont have the screens. I did run water and Dawn as recommended in the video. I opened the spray bar valves and flushed them several times.I back flushed the drain for the pump out. When I bought the boat two years ago the black filter was not in place. I cleaned it up and siliconed it in.Everything seems to be working like new. Thanks to all for the assistance.Proud to be associated with the Bass Cat FamilyLast edited by Tiger Smoke on January 22nd, 2017, 11:51 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Yes the Vedio was a big help. I didnt know about the spay bar valves.i worked on it yesterday afternoon everything seems to work much better. Like new again. Thanks will be at the bend in A few weeks.Jim
I spoke with Rick this morning and the fixed is 32in , adjustable goes out to 32. That seems quite high if the 32 is from the top of the roller to the base if the nuts on the mounts.Since you have the fixed is that the total length of how they are measured or is it the total length of the unit itself.I am beating up my paint with the deluxe spring loaded system from Bass Pro. Not to mention replacing the rubber feet at $20 a throw after three months.
Im going to order the short adjustabile version after speaking with Lou tonight.
I received the Lous adjustable unit yesterday. It seems to be everything Ive read and heard about it quality and appearance wise. Lou mentioned he had added a bolt to the shaft on the end where it attaches to the motor mounts in order to attach the unit to the motor to serve as a safety strap should it fall off while traveling.Has anyone done something to attach the unit other than drilling the plate and running a bungee around the lower unit.
I have a 2011. What is Phil meaning by the electronics being installed to the right.

I love it up here and dont have any plans to move, but I do miss some of the Louisiana fishing. I got a Lifetime Fishing License in 1994 so Im always Good to Go License wise.I would love to trade a 2-3 day fishing trip on Bull Shoals from Mid April until mid June for a trip to The Venice area in October-November. We downsized last April and I cant offer housing on my end nor would I expect housing to be provided.I am not as knowledgeable as a Professional guide, but I will be a generous host that is a fairly good fisherman will put you on decent numbers of bass and hopefully a few pretty good ones. Im running a 2009 Cougar with dual consoles so you should be comfortable.Im pretty familiar with fishing Venice and have all the tackle I would need for bass, Specks, or Redfish. We went this past Thursday. The fishing was still good but not as Fantastic as the weekend before. The river is on a slight rise and the water was getting a little muddy. We also had a very strong cold front with high winds that pushed a lot of water out.I am similar to you as I am running a 2011 Puma FTD. Dual consoles etc.I am retired and live in Baton Rouge so I am 3 hours out of Venice. If the river gets right again how much lead time do you need?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Flipping is what we have doing!!! So much fun. No one can predict the river exactly. We went to Toledo bend as they predicted an earlier rise that didnt happen until now. Not sure what you do but perhaps we can start by looking at the tide tables ahead of time and plan accordingly. Next year is fine by me. I finished LSU in 73. Go Tigers! Stay in touch, always some kind of fishing around here. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Ham66 wrote:Fantastic! Im not knowledgeable about tides at all. I just go fishing. We always caught fish at Venice. Some trips were unreal good, some were great, and some were just way better than average.Lets plan on it.Ill work with you to determine when is good for you. Ill take some time off to “guide” you. Ill have been fishing and will have been asking the right questions. Generally late April is Golden unless we have a late extended cold spell. October 16ish or Nov 13 any of those plus or minus a few days will be the best falling tides for where we want to go.Have a good one.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I changed the deck bulbs on my 11 Puma FTD three years ago. I bought mine from Walmart. I cleaned the contacts and put a little silicone to seal the units back in. They work perfectly.
I also put a small led puck light in my glove box. I mounted it above the door with silicone. Battery powered and works great. You have to turn it on and off by hand, but no holes or wiring needed.
The back plate is mounted and the unit with the three lights twists off to change batteries when needed.

I Bought a Helix 10 that was supposed to fit the dash but the unit was larger than the console. I went with a Bass Boat Technologies mounting bracket. It works great.
