Congrats In2Deep, I too am becoming a BCB family member. My order is in and now the anticipation begins! I am very excited to run such a quality product and learn from everyone here on the board!
I would love to hear an honest comparison/review between these and Power Pole from anyone that has any type of experience with them. Very interesting.
Ash, for exactly the reasons DOUGCGEEP3 stated.
At one time I owned one of those x brand boats with the padded carpet. Had all kinds of problems with the glue/carpet not adhereing to the pad. I even had the carpet redone by a local shop and continued to have issues with the carpet coming off the pad after a short period of time.
Corky, I only gave it one short burst at WOT and when it hit 79 I let out of the throttle. I am sure I can hit 80+ as I had a bit more trim to go. The boat handles really well at all speeds so far and I am just lovoing it!
Very Nice!! I am glad someone gave that Cat a home! That is one nice boat and you will get a lot of pleasure out of it. Hope to run into you on the water. Where do you fish mostly?Tony Franceschi
Just sent you Lorenzos email address in a message.
I have thrown it quite a bit here out west. Both clear water lakes as well as the California Delta. I am impressed. You can certainly use it on bait casting gear as well as spinning gear. The advantage with spinning gear is that you can arguably cast it further. The only drawback I have found throwing it on the Delta is that you lose quite a few fish as they bury themselves in the vegetation quite easily on the light line. However, you do get bite that you otherwise would to have had.I have onlyscratched the surface with this technique but I will tell you that I am impressed so far.
Depends on what you mean by “like a jerk bait bite”. If you mean the conditions under which it would produce, yes similar but it has produced for me when jerk baits wont. I have also caught several fish as the bait was falling to my desired depth. It does have a slight wobble on the retrieve along with the blades spinning. It is a very interesting bait.
Mark is originally from California. I used to compete against him regularly and I have to say he is a great individual. As Bass Cat already stated, he deserves this win. He definitely has the ability and a down to earth demeanor that is very refreshing.
Thanks everyone, I appreciate the feedback. Pretty much confirms what I was thinking with regards to the RAM mount but I had been hearing a lot about other mounts and wanted to see what others had experienced.
the 12″ unit will not fit in the well, otherwise I agree.
Thanks for the replies guys… one last question… those of you with 8 ft poles, did you ever wish you had 10ft poles? My garage clearance will not be an issue with either other than I would have to lower 10 footers slightly to clear the door frame. Just trying to figure out if the 10 footers are worth it.
Thanks gain for the input guys! Very helpful.
