My closest BC dealer is probably Robbins. Does he service johnson OBs? The boat is a 94 PIIn which I repowered in July of 04 so the OB is out of warranty. I just have to find my nearest johnson Authorized service center. Thanks for the help.
I suspected overheating when it first happened. After putting boat back on the trailer I removed abnd cleaned the clogged outlet. I put the boat back in the water started the OB and it was streaming just fine. Made a short run got up on plane and signal started again and stream stopped and boat would not get up on plane. Went home flushed OB, started with garden hose thru the OB outlet let it run for 5 minutes and now its idling at 1500 RPM,but no warning signal.
Thanks Dan. That would be great, I should be so lucky. Still waiting for diagnosis, was promised it would be ready for me by friday. Fingers are crossed. Tight lines.
Its probably not a cartridge since the aer is new and the recirc is doing the same thing. Both going up at the same time, not likely. All the battery connections were re-done when I replaced my onboard charger several weeks back. The terminal block is fine. Would a ground problem in a harness be negated by the outboard runnning?
Dont know where that came from, but I and My boat are in Baltimore. Though if you look at the photo the boat is registered in NC . When I checked your profile it listed Starbuck,MN.
Interested in the boat? I have addl photos if you are.

Your are right about that. Ive found a dealer who was willing to do exactly that. I made 100 calls to find 2 fittings that are costing me $5.00 but at least it will be repaired today. A little info for anyone else that may encounter this sometime the thread size is 3/8-24UNF should they ever need tracing and the number for teleflex parts is 1-800-247-6324 .Last edited by bassplaquer on October 10th, 2008, 5:03 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Mike, I believe the adjustment under misc expenses is 2.5% not 7.5%. But in either case unless the 1099 is for considerable dollars I would think its better claimed as hobby to avoid any applicable self employment taxes. Without exact info I would probably suggest the schedule A route. Im no expert but I did stay at a holiday inn express during our last TX. Glen
Are you looking for the public or private side accommodations? My club has been renting a house on the private side for about 10 years. I will be happy to give you his name and number if interested
