Hi Gary,We have a Puma with a 225xs on the way, was supposed to be here on Friday, delayed a bit. Did your rpms increase any on the second attempt with the 27 tempest? Thanks, Joe
Thanks Doug,Yes it is washed and cleaned every time in from a fishing trip, the boat is in excellent shape. It is always covered when not in use whether in the garage or with the custom cover. Someone will be getting not only a fine fishing rig but quite a looker as well. The pictures really dont do this boat justice. The colors really go well together and we will be hard pressed to top them. Thanks again,Joe
BTUNE,No expert here but thats a little better than what we saw with an 06 with pretty much the identical setup. I wouldnt do much if anything. Those numbers sound very good in this heat.
Quote: JOE, IVE NEVER SEEN 50 LBS OF FISH…. I BET HE HAD EM SACKED UP SOMEWHERE.HES BEEN AROUND THOSE LOUISANA FOLKS TOO MUCH… Robin, You know what Luke says, “If theyre thawed out by weigh in time, theyre good to go”
Judd,I agree, drop shotting is a different kind of fishing and it is not for everyone. It requires a tremendous amount of patience but can be rewarding, especially on highly pressured lakes or on days when the fish are in the lock down mode. Im certainly no expert but am trying to learn aspects about the technique. It seems to be something that can be fished from shallow to extremely deep and can potentially pay big dividends. Thanks for the responses so far and hopefully there will be more.Joe
OT57,I also saw a 21 foot boat in a magazine several years back, am thinking it was also a Champion but the one that I saw had two Mariners on it. Best I remember reading in the article the top speed was somewhere around the 100 mph mark.
