Is it the original motor and how much are you wanting. I dont know when they even started making 225 hp motors. Figured 200 was as big as they made then. Think it only has 300 hours on original motor. Compression is awesome.
jignpig wrote:It has the old school construction which has wood encapsulated in fiberglass. Its big and your 200 is going to be doing a lot of work pushing that boat. Very very few have ever posted running a jaguar/200 combo(maybe 1 or 2), so youre probably about right with the 23Thanks for the info. Unsure why they didnt put a 225 on it. Not a big speed freak anyways but my fuel economy may not be the best. Its a good enough price, not sure I can pass it up. I can always try to repower sometime.

Obviously there is a story to be told, as the Jaguar back then did have 225-285 hp rating and Mercury was cranking out those 250 EFI pretty much.Last option was maybe a crappie fisherman that didnt need speed but wanted big safe rig…It is the original motor, and you are right, he was a crappie fisherman on Lake Ozark in MO. This one is rated up to 245. Think it will still run as fast I like. Still havent pulled trigger yet but thinking about it.
Should the recirc be higher than the aerator. I guess that is the main question
Already needed ear plugs. Dont drink so looking for something else to calm nerves. Thanks for your help.
So I could use a trophy 25. How about a tempest plus 25? and should I take it somewhere and have it adjusted. I suppose you are talking about the throttle position. What prop should I put on it now if you had to recommend one? Last edited by bhampto on March 30th, 2016, 1:28 pm, edited 1 time in total.
I see you answered in your previous post. Sorry. Just not sure what I should do. Does changing the prop around make the need of changing the TPI
Around 5200 and 62 mph. Thats rough guess. Last few time I have been out it has been a little rough and can run it well. Hopefully this weekend I might be able to get better idea. I think I am going to move it to 4 inches and see how it does. Still think I will need to go to at least a 24 when I get it raised up to where it should be.
Thanks
Thanks BCB
Thanks BCB. Just wanted to make sure I didnt need to but it back where it came from
I believe I have found the answer to my question in the archives. I have looked there before but this time I found the answer. If anyone has suggestions I would be open to any help still. Thanks.
I did not receive any rivets with the ladder. Just wonder how deep to drill and how long are the rivets. I will try and call parts tomorrow and see what I can find out. Thanks for the info. I wish I could find someone to do it so it is done correctly. Makes me very nervous, if you know what I mean.
Is the double still available. Highly interested
