I will try one of the two methods. Which ever seems the easiest to achieve. Humminbirds solution of adding another battery just didnt seem right. Thanks for all of the positive input on this issue and I will keep you posted. Luv my CAT!!!
Thanks Dwayne for another good point to investigate, but from what I can detect from just looking is that the connections seem pretty clean.I will check more thoroughly just to make sure. I had the voltage alarms set to 12V and the voltage reading Im getting up front is around 8.4V consistently.I called BCB yesterday and they said I should also upgrade from the current 16 gauge, which they used in my year, to 12 gauge currently used in the later models. Thanks again everyone for the positive feedback, Hope to get started on solving this issue this weekend.
Im the guy with the 05 Puma with the Humminbird power issues. My units would shut off when I cranked the motor and would be very erratic from that point on, low voltage readings etc…My fix was to upgrade to the same battery mentioned in this thread and run 12 gauge wire directly from the cranking battery to my units. Problem solved, no more low voltage readings or shut offs. You may just need a little more CCA and/or direct wiring. I believe the DieHard is 1150 CCA.
I just did this last week on my 05 Puma. I did exactly what BCB said to do. I got medium flex glow stick from Home Depot which worked perfectly and It took a couple of hours to fish the wire, connect and zip tie everything neatly. My wife was small enough to climb in the rod locker and zip tie the new wires to the existing harness. Hope this helps.
Is the console removable?
Will your next rig have a SHO?I have a few boats in my sights and this is one because of the SHO that Ive always wanted. There arent many Cats with them. I dont want to start any debates here, but now Im torn betweenthe SHO and Pro XS. Im hearing good things about the Pro XS.Last edited by dhardy on July 27th, 2015, 6:28 pm, edited 1 time in total.

The boat is in Hayward, CA.
Sale pending.
Im having the same issue with color being off as well. The only chart that seems to be the right color is the Erya, so Ive been using it to get a general idea of what the color combos I like.Im a professional digital artist and what I can tell you is, whatever color pallete thats being used for the Erya should be copied and transfered to the other boat selections. This shouldbe very easy for whoever manages or designs your page. Hope this helps because I will be ordering a new Puma FTD or Cougar FTD and I want to get a somewhat accurate representationof what its going to look like.
I wondered if that was the case. I have a dealer about 20 mins away. Thanks for the tip.
