Ive been involved in the manufacturing of greases and commercial lubricants for over 15 yrs. BE CAREFULL mixing greases! There are many different soaps (thickeners) ie..lithium, lithium complex, aluminum complex, polyurea, calcium sulfunates, bentones etc……… When soaps are mixed a reaction can occur that can cause the grease to run or become hardened. Be sure that the grease you select for wheel bearing carries an NLGI GC-LB as this denotes use in wheel bearings. Stay away from greases containing moly or other solids as these greases are notorious for causing the bearing to slide creating flat spots on the rollers. Greases with excessive tack and ISO base oil viscosities above 220 may cause the bearing to run at hotter than normal temps resulting is premature failures. DO NOT OVER GREASE this will not only blow the seal in your hub but will cause the bearing to overheat. Hope this helps.
