Had the same thing on my 95. Ordered a new valve from Basscat and fixed the problem. They are easy to swap out yourself.

I agree, Mike’s book Fishing on the Edge is very good and gives a good insite into how much effort he put(s) in to working his way into the Elite field. I met him at a Bassmaster University he is very well spoken and between him and KVD they had the best presentations. This was about 3 years or so ago.

If others like this type of reading Bass Madness by Ken Schultz is also a good read. It’s kind of a “behind the scenes” look at pro fishing and the 2005 and 2006 Classics. The author discusses “Ike” quite a bit in it also.

I do agree with jignpig on the digital dash. I really like the one on my 95 and have had no problems with it. As mentioned you can get a pdf manual for it. Man your boat looks great! I could see where losing the red stripe might look a little better since there is no other red on your boat but if it was me Id leave it orgininal. Thanks for all the replys and ideas guys. I hadnt even thought about making sure he has a bait that he can at least feel/see to keep him interested – that is a good idea. Im definately going to get him going doing some practicing at the house first. Those are some great pics BasserTX.
