When I read the news this morning, it gave me goosepumps.
Thanks BCB for bringing one of the best anglers on the tour to the family.
As stated before, the BCB family is large and devoted.
Mike, hope to see some posts from you.

Against Ole Miss., The gators showed how vunerable their defense is this year. As much as I would like to see us win another SEC championship, I have to agree with you that LSU is the cream of the crop this year. And everybody better watch out for Kentucky. They could face yall in Atlanta.

Granted Ky has had some breaks so far this year but the Gators also had that type of breaks last year and as Phil stated aboved “Any Given Saturday”. Besides you must be a disenchanted “Hoosier”

Never too late. Just add your team to the post so Kelly can get a good participant count. I am assuming the entry fee will be paid at the ramp.

Eufaula is a much better largemouth lake and is about 1.5 hours south of LaGrange if you launch at Lake Point. West point has little grass and alot of small spots. I fished a ABA-AFT tournament yesterday and it took only 9 lbs to win. Unfortunately it wasnt me. Reports below are from 11/21. WEST POINT LAKE IS DOWN 2.2 FEET, CLEAR & 64 DEGREESBass fishing is fair and both spots are largemouth are in a fall transition and now is the time to fish small. Use small lures like small crank baits like a small Bandit or the small Rat-L-Trap. Concentrate on blow downs and use a Texas rig early and then pull out the Zara Spooks in bone. There is a good top water bite on the main lake and there are some large spotted bass are being caught early. After the surface action slows down go to a lightweight Carolina rigged finesse worm in green pumpkin and red bug.Line side fishing is good and the best places are on the flats at Maple Creek, Indian Creek and by the trees at the dam using live bait. Try trolling also with crank baits in the middle of the creeks and on points on the river channel. Use the 200 Series Bandits in pearl or white and a chrome and blue ˝ ounce Rat-L-Trap. Also use the ˝ ounce Rooster Tail. Use the live baits like shad around humps, flats, roadbeds and areas of standing timber. Check for fish at the railroad trestle hump, the flats at the mouths of any creek. The stripers and hybrids have been feeding on shad on the surface down around the dam early in the morning. Popping corks are the best way to catch these surface feeding fish. The best time to fish has been from daylight until about noon. Crappie fishing is fair and the fish are holding in the blow downs and brush piles in the backs of the creeks. Try dropping minnows in around the structure with corks. Fish are also still holding around the bridge pilings. Drop minnows 8 or 12 feet down be a line watcher as the strikes will be light. LAKE GEORGE/EUFAULA IS DOWN ONE FOOT, 61 DEGREES & CLEAR BY CLAYTON BATTSBass are holding tight to cover due to the recent cold fronts. Fish a black and blue Spro finesse jig with a Big Bite Baits green pumpkin chunk close to blow downs and hydrilla mats. Fish a black and Blue Yomama with a 1 ounce Tru-Tungsten flipping weight in the mats of hydrilla. You may have to shake it in the mat for twenty to thirty seconds to get bit. Fish a white Picasso spinner bait around flats when the sun is out for fish searching for bait to feed up for the winter. These fish can also be caught on a Spro Aruku shad in chrome with a blue back. There are still some schools of fish on the ledges. These fish are falling for reaction baits, such as a #7 Fat Free shad in Foxy Shad. When you are fishing the ledges keep a look out for balls of shad out of the ledge and drop a Hopkins jigging spoon to these fish.

Cabins at Highland Marina are a great place to stay. FYI there was a 14 lb plus largemouth caught at the end of Yellowjacket Creek 3 weeks ago on a POP R.

The gators will definitely be in a rebuilding mode for the next couple of years. My guess they lose up to 15 starters to the NFL and the next coach will be a surprise. Not Spurrier or Sabans but someone from a non-BCS school. I received several calls from my bulldog and vol friends who have had their prays answered. I will not abandon my GATORS.
