Thank You for all the responses. I ask this question for a friend of a friend. He has some I guess that he bought from some guy , not sure on how long ago, well the guy died I guess. This friend wanted to buy the business and I don`t know why he could`nt ,anyway this guy swears by them .I was just researchig a little. I can see a point to it ,2 pieces of wire verses 30 or 40 strands of fiber.Did`nt stanley spinnerbaits use a tapered wire for better vibration years ago ,maybe they still do.If we have this florocarbon technology ,why not make a weedgaurd out of it, then visibility of one would`nt be an issue.Maybe I`m just babbaling or thinking about it too much.I`ll probally ask some more questions about stuff.I like getting thoughts from other parts of the country and I figure you guys have a little more exposure to more hardcore bass tackle or newer things than I do up here in Wisconsin.Stores around here probally don`t have the amount of tackle you guys in the south might have more access to.Thank You again!!!

I had Problems with mine also.I had to replace my 6 way with a 5 cause nobody had one in my area.I had it where my rear taillite and side marker did`nt work also .I had cat send me new lites ,stilll did`nt work .I finally traced it to a connection where the fender is on the inside. The wires I have noticed, had probally 2 or 3 strands that were actually connected ,the rest were broke .Look at where they have them connected (where they splice the wires together in some spots).Mine looked like they were corroded and eventually broke. One guy told me to use dielectric grease when putting them together, then use car undercoating and spray on your connections where you splice them together to make them waterproof.I feel your pain and I don`t have to fish in saltwater up here in Wisconsin. Maybe this will give you or somebody an idea of stuff to do, I`m definately not a wire expert. Trailer wiring sucks. I wonder if somebody some day would come up with an all stainless steel wiring harness. I suppose if they did that then they would`nt make any selling guys like us who just seem to have great luck with trailer lites any money.
