http://i have only owned the boat for a month but previous owner thought his diesel truck was throwing something on it. there are no signs of the rub rail ever being hit but who knows. i assume BCB will contact me? thanks

i removed the rubber insert and found a rivet hole with no rivet in it.  this allowed water to enter the hole and escape underneath the rub rail

not sure what “you dont think so” about but i put a water bottle spray tip to the hole and it poured out underneath the rub rail.  now the caulk under the rub rail being not sealed to the boat is an entirely diff story but there shouldnt be an empty hole in the rub rail.

serious question.  how could that be the least effected area if the last 12″ of pad is the only thing touching water at WOT?
