I have a 2006 Puma and a 250hp Verado. I had to toss the 28p Bravo 1 it came with; slapped on a 26p Trophy Plus and experimented with the engine height. Now with 1/2 tank of fuel – fully loaded by my self – apprx 6 sec hole hot and 75-77 mph top end depending on the air temp. I was having some Verado service bulletins addressed 2 weeks ago and two 250lb mechanics took it for a “test run” (joy ride) for an hour at $99.99 per hour. It was 105 degrees that day & they noted 74mph on the service contract. I love my Cat but Im now FORCED to sell it by next December to purchase that new ERYA & SHO. All the Erya / SHO posts are killing me. Ill never own another 2 stroke again.
Cant wait to see all those cats in one place.
Thank you Sir & right back at ya!
Thank You!
Thanks for the compliment Steve.And BTW thank you for a great WCBCOT on the California Delta! Im trying to sell this one – so I can purchase another one before next years event!
Bass Cat Dreams,Im an Oakland As fan () and I graduated from the University of San Francisco (also green & gold). I couldnt help myself.This rig has resulted in one fender bender as someone couldnt stop admiring it and BAM! They rear ended someone.Bass Cat makes a beautifully finished rig and now I cant get gas without someone commenting on its beauty.
Craig 69,Im trying to learn how to post additional photos now. Years ago I placed one on Photobucket – thats where this photo originated.I think I have to go there post more photos and then bring them into the Bass Cat site … I think. Please bear with me.This boat holds 52 gallons of fuel: 1-32 gallon tank under the seats & 2-10 gallon saddle tanks in the rear.
Basscatdreams,Thanks – but Im sure Id try to meet you half way
Hello Steve! Great to see facilitate this event again. Thanks! Q1: How can we get the word out to more BC owners in the West? Not all owners read or even know this owners board exists. Any luck on obtaining an owners list so they can be notified more directly (via mail)? Q2: Does this mean anglers will be able to pre-fish on the morining of the 13th? BTW: Safe light is 0613 hrs on the 14th. If you need help – just let me know! “Mac” McCullough FLW- Bass Federation (R3) Tournament Director
WCBCOI IVSteve: If you can get a flyer in my hand, I will ask Steve (Boat Masters in Livermore) to post.Also, I Ill be working the ISE Show on this Friday – Im sure Cat Owners will stroll by and I can pass flyers to them as well.Also, I can distribute to all FLW Federation anglers as well as post on windshields at the various launch ramps in No Cal.Im also thinking – no pre-fishing on Saturday.SoCalPII: She looks good buddy! I sure do miss her. Not being able to fish when they are biting is really hard. But monitor the Bass Cat By Serial Number Facebook page for #BASB0989A515. Its in the production schedule now.I hope to be on the water in 7-8 weeks. That seems like forever!!!”Mac”
Thanks to all! Just trying to provide visuals. I almost talked myself out of the Eyra due to the “small cockpit for big guys” and the “low cockpit” comments I was reading. The terms small, big guy and low are relative terms. I thought Id just add some perspective. I hope it helps.
For new Eyra owners setting up their own boat – I just posted a new Eyra video.Its my first time to really open it up after break-in.The video describes how the boat is loaded – where the weight is placed and how much each accessory weighs.It shows the engine & propeller performing while also showing stats e.g.: RPM, Current Speed & Top Speed.It can be found by clicking on the link below:https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mac-McCu … ef=tn_tnmnIf you have any Eyra specific performance suggestions – please feel free to provide some feedback. Thanks!
Thank you Max! Having owned a Pantera and some Pumas, the compartment layout was different. Not better – not worse than the other layouts – just different. I find that layouts are a personal preference issue. given the same amount of garage square footage and 10 anglers, I dont think anyone would lay out there garage identically. Thank being said – I grew accustomed to this layout very quickly. Tackle boxes are centered mid-boat laterally and medially for great balance. And this hull is simply the best riding cat Ive ever driven with the only exception being the Jag. It actually runs better with 2 feet of chop on the water – really! And yes all one needs do is add rods, tackle and water. The boat is also equipped with a Hydrowave, Lowrance 3D module and Lithium Pro batteries. I did not consider giving those away with the boat (at least not yet). Because at this price I would be giving them away. Im only selling to buy a new one. Thanks for checking out my videos of the walk-thru and performance on the water. I hope you find the cat you are looking for!
I have been to four bass boat manufacturer to see for myself exactly how boats are constructed. Bass Cat was one of the four. The most eye opening revelations were the quality, amount and placement of materials. Rick has a saying “there is a reason for everything in a Cat”. When you see this for yourself – it hits home and you look at other models thru a different set of lens. Forty years of dock talk about this boat vs. that boat – went straight out of the window! Most guys are just kicking tires right now. but the end of the month is not far away. I think its a great deal – heck the cover is $1,500 by itself!
, , I have a 2015 Eyra listed. Please:For Sale in California – Loaded 2015 Eyra , ||
