Please resend pics again. You need to be very aggressive to sway me to your 07. I have a great offer for 08 with flipping deck with losts of upgrades. Please list out all that is on the boat. Will there be state tax too? Let me know. [email protected] Tom
Thanks for directing me to the BC answer site but it does not answer my question regarding a fix to high speeds and sonar readings totally. Hopefully, someone can answer if a through hull tanssducer will be the fix this situation. Also, at what speeds will a Sabre start loosing its 2D sonar readings with a 150 HP motor? Thanks again!
Mackey, thanks for the response. I understand the sonar speed anomaly is consistent with many boats. I like you feel that trimming your boat to plow through the water is not a fix. Thats why I was hopping a through hull design might be the answer. I hope someone can shed some light on this. Its unfortunate that boats at these prices cannot have the ability to give you a consistent reading with 2D sonar readings at higher speeds. Hopefully, Bass Cat folks can shed some light on this subject. I am willing to pay extra for the the through hull transducers to fix this issue if it works. Buy that I dont mean should work but works consistently at 55mph on plane. If not to be continued.
CNCBass, Are you saying that your through hull transducer will not work with SI imaging for the 797cSI? That is a lot of money just to have effective 2D sonar readings at higher speeds. I might be assuming some things here but to me I would think that XPTH 9 HDSI 180 T Plastic Thru-Hull Transducer for Humminbird 797cSi should cover both criteria for 2D sonar and SI. Although, I am glad to read your accurate sonar readings with the through hull transducer at higher speeds. Just stumped that it doesnt work with SI imaging. Was the XPTH 9 HDSI 180 T Plastic Thru-Hull Transducer for Humminbird 797cSi not out when you installed the through hull transducer? Everyone, thanks for your posts. Its helping me be more informed from you experience. Thanks, misr12
Okay, I will bite. Where are the photos? thanks!
I found it. Great pics. What is the lighter color blue called that is a nice color scheme. I congrats. I pick mine up from Brechs Marine in 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. Cant wait! Tom
I hope so I have a Sabre that I think specs the same width as a classic. If not I have to go to plan B. Unfortunately, I dont have a plan B yet (grin). misr12
Coondogdaddy, Great stuff. I have purchased a trailer dolly to guide my boat into my dual single garage door t assure of no accidents. Has anyone used these trailer dollies before. Its rated for 600lb weight at the tongue so I feel like it should solve many problems moving my single axle sabre in and out of my garage.
Logan Martin Cat wrote: Tom, My garage door opening is 105″ inside weather strip(appox 1″) to inside weather strip. 2007 Sabre FTD on tandem axle trailer has about 2″ clearance on each side. Needless to say this is push in by hand after line up with Go Jaks. Thank goodness water is up enough to go back in boathouse. Mackey Mackey, thanks for the heads up. I went out to measure my garage opening and its the same as yours. I just purchased 600lb rated trailer dolly to move my boat in and out since the tolerances are going to be that close. I hope I can maneuver my boat okay with the trailer dolly. I should be okay. Thanks again.
Dlasercat wrote: I have a new Puma with LCX27s on the bow and console. Whats the best, most accurate, most detailed map card for the South East. I live in Alabama and fish Smith lake, the Coosa chain and Tennessee river chain mostly. Thanks for your help. Diasercat, you profile me very closely. I live in Alabama, fish the same lakes. I even have a condo on Smith Lake. The best card to get is the Navionics Hotmaps 08 card. It has more detail for the coosa chain of lakes. The 07 card does not support lake mitchell or lay lake at all. The 08 card does. Just an FYI. Good luck! misr12
dbasketman wrote: I wasnt aware of the 08 version, would be better served to get that one ! Good fishin, D. Without a doubt! Good Luck. Just so your not suprised. Lake Jordan is the one coosa chain lake not supported. These other lakes are supported like Smith, Martin, Logan Martin, Lay, Michell are all on there. To veiw lakes supported google Navionics. Get on their site. Select Hotmaps and then select Southeastern states. It will list lakes supported by state.God luck!
Please check Navionics website for supported lakes. When I purchased 07 Hotmaps for lakes in Alabama I assumed they were all supported. Unfortunately, my lake was not supported and I was out the dollars spent. Dont assume anything. At that time Lay Lake host of the 2007 Bassmaster classic the lake I fish was not supported by Navionics Hotmaps. So as a potential buyer you need to do some research. Now with all that said most lakes are supported but be sure before you buy. Also, I dont think you can return these cards once you purchase them. Just an FYI! Good luck!
