With my last boat I could tell where I needed to be by the bow lift. So, do I need to trim down or up more to getting the steering to ease up a little?Loading the boat is another story….gotta work on getting the trailer in the water in the right place….wow! Thanks in advance,NoelIt appears you need more time in the boat. Is the boat brand new or previous owner? Jackplate? Most BCBs will have ample bow lift not requiring full trim. Are you at WOT when the steering torque is there. Most of the time when someone complains about steering torque, the jack plate is too high. Good luck. Previous owner but only had 6 hours on it. Slidemaster jackplate……and a quick measurement without a straight edge looks like about 3 3/4″ or 4″ up. 25P Fury.Last edited by nspanntx on July 20th, 2011, 3:12 am, edited 1 time in total.

If it was a latch the noise would be kind of irratic in my mind. Also, last time I wiped the boat and motor down I wiped around those latches and didnt notice they were loose. If they were loose enough to rattle it seems like I wouldve noticed as I wiped around them. But I will check them…I promise! Then maybe I can get a —> instead of a —>?Later,Noel

What I do is drive up on the bunks a little and let the boat settle. That should get you straight, then drive the boat up the rest of the way to the front roller. I had some trouble learning how to trailer my BC but after a few times now the mistakes are getting fewer and fewer.
