Can anyone tell me if this boat was ever fixed? I believe I have found a dealer that has this boat for sale here in Kentucky and I am considering purchasing the boat. If anyone has any information on this boat could you please contact me back? Thanks.

There was a tackle tray in front of the driver console that you could put the old hard tackle boxes or an ice chest in that area.200 Opti on the 97 PII would probably still get upper 60s to low 70s. I would strongly suggest the Opti of those years be checked out with a fine tooth comb so to speak.Great riding, smooth driving, solid boat. 19 with 95″ beam. Are there issues with the optimax series in that year? The dealer Im working with about the boat has done a thorough check on the motor and is supposed to do a water test for me today. They said that the compression came back good on all cylinders and said I was more than welcome to the read out. But Im definitely taking the boat for a test drive before purchasing the boat.

A compression test will tell you if you have a bad cylinder a leak down test will tell you if it is worn and how badly. There are many sites that explain the test and how to perform it. It should not be a big deal for a dealer to do. Good luck with the boatThanks for the advice. I will contact the dealer and see if they would do a leak down test for me.
I have upped my budget a little to around 18k if anyone has anything please let me know!
Yes I think all the plugs are in the vent holes. Well, I didnt have much of a stretch of water to run today as most of the lakes are froze here in Ky. In the short stretch I ran I got up to around 60 mph and around 5000 – 5500 rpms.
Thank you for your help. Ill try that next chance I have to get on the water!
Whenever I throttle down and hold it I get up to around 2800 rpm and it will not take off at all I usually stay right around 8 mph like this. What I have to do is trim the motor up just a little and then punch it and slowly trim the motor back all the way down for the boat to take off. When I do start to plane it does so at just above 3000 rpm. On top end I got up to around 58 – 59 yesterday on a very short stretch of lake wot I was hitting around 5000 – 5500 rpm.
