dont know how close you are to alabama but airport marine in alabaster might be able to help you. i looked at their web page recently and they have some used basscats in stock. you should be able to get more info on their site http://www.airportmarine.com

with that engine you should be able to turn a 25m yamaha prop and it should perform well. i had a 94 p2 and ran the yamaha 25 and a tempest 25. the tempest had a little better hole shot but the yamaha was better on top end. niether one of those will have the hole shot that your getting from your 23. not sure about the rpm s that you should be turning. i do know at that time yamaha was gearing all their foots to turn the original 25m props. they have made their props heavier since 91 though so you will just have to try it and see how it runs out. i dont think i would worry about that motor as long as i could keep the rpm range somewhere around 5500. dont overlook the 4 blade trophy if you can find one in a 25 pitch it will have better hole shot than the three blade and less steering torque and the top end will be close to the three blade. robert

i know how you feel kent. our newest son is 4 months old now and he was already getting comfortable on the front deck of a bass cat at 2 months. it was sitting in the yard but i dont think it mattered to him . robert

i know the feeling mark. anytime i have needed or wanted a prop they were all above my budget. there are some good used props out there that are affordable and you might even find someone willing to trade with you. good luck.

Sonny, Are your BCB cranking rods the 7 footers that are specificly recommended for cranking? Glynn i really dont know glynn. they are in the boat right now and i havent really looked to see lately they probably arent if i had to guess because i like a little heavier rod to fish dd22s and deep diving baits like that. they have plenty of feel and i like that for what i am using them for because i dont loose as many of those expensive baits. at certain times here on pickwick and wilson lakes we fish those deep baits in 5 foot or less too. all that digging drives smallmouth crazy.

thanx sherm. i guess if i went with the 520c all i would have to do is swap out the 2000 with the 3000 and all the wiring and the transducer can stay in the boat? robert

we always have had excellent results out of starbrite hull cleaner. pour it into a sray bottle and spray it onto the stain then just rinse off. for some stains it might take rubbing it on with a sponge. youll need a pair of rubber gloves and be sure not to let the spray blow back into your eyes.

sam we are fishing friday and saturday out of city ramp. last year there was 140 boats that made the classic. i am guessing it will be close to that if not a few more this year. i can call you if you dont want to discuss this on the board. thanx
