Years of motors were 95, 97, 99, 01, 04, and 07. All were EFI Mercs. Correction, the 99 was 175, all others were 150s. I guess i thought the Pro XS Optis were a hotter motor than the EFI motors. I may have been mistaken on that one as i have heard that the Pro XS 150s are just a sticker difference. Your thoughts? On to reservoirs most trips are to Truman with the occasional Lake of the Ozarks, Table Rock or Perry on the Kansas side.

The Sabre is an awesome 18 footer. You cant go wrong and will be very happy. Compression test is a MUST. Cheap insurance prior to the purchase.

Mine came with the slide master 8 inch instead of the 6 inch. Im at a loss on the performance end of this boat. Full of gas, very light load up front ( life jackets, rods and crankbaits only ) by myself, only gps at 59 – 60. I have tried raising the motor, gained 1 mph but overheat buzzer went off. Factory setting was 4 1/2 inches below pad. If i get above 4 inches, overheat buzzer. I am running a 23 tempest. I have tried my brand new spare 23 tempest and have tried a 24 trophy but no gains or losses. Those are the only props i have available to try. I was expecting a mid sixties boat with a 150. Maybe i was shootin to high!!! Can anyone tell me what was changed on the 2011 pads on the Sabre? Would the 6 inch plate help with performance? Thanks Last edited by speed demon on July 20th, 2011, 4:33 pm, edited 1 time in total.

I have an ultra sonic unit, thats befoe hydrowave took over, and its the for real deal. Gets the baitfish active which gets the bass to movin. As K Short said, even if it is one bite, that could be the deal breaker on tourney day.

Someone getting a steal is the under statement of the day. The new model year with the SHO is a easy 10k above your price. Guys, you will not find a equal boat for this money, not to mention it still has full factory warranty.

Take that last step and buy it. You wont be disappointed. BCB are top of the line boats with an incredible following and true support from owners and The Pierce Family. I own a Sabre FTD and it absolutely is a great 18 platform. Good luck.
