Any Merc dealer will have another…there are not that many different keys. There is a number on the ignition switch they will need or you will have to take the boat up there for them to check the keys. Judd Lasiter
Shusker, in your papers when you purchased the boat, there may have been an ignition key number included for you to use for duplicate keys. Mine was stamped on a very small rectangular piece of metal. I know you will anyway, but be sure to keep a duplicate key in your boat at all times either where you store your tools,T/M shear pins, license receipt, or a place of your choosing. All of us tournament guys have gotten up early to leave for a tournament, half asleep, rushed, etc., and have arrived at our destination without keys. Welcome to our club.
There may be some issues finding one, as most dealers do not have the newer style keys for masters yet. If it is an older style with the plastic cover, you should be fine. BCB
You will have to use a different profile login on that and it should revert when you login. If that does not work Clayton, then try FAQ Section of the YUKU directory. BCB
alright thanks
check out http://www.bbrvs.com they have a few on there that seem to be in pretty good condition.
Basshunter, I live in Paulina, La. which is between Gonzales and Laplace. I do know of someone selling a very well taken care of 175 merc efi. I think its a 1999 model. Not abused in any way and very reliable. He is selling to get a larger motor on his Tr-19. Maybe you would be interested in this even though its a 175. Its probably very comparable to a 2.5 liter 200. If you are interested let me know and I will talk to him for you. Chris Coupel Paulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.
get in touch with whomever and find out how much he want for it. and thanks. contact me at basshunter_ca@yahoo.com.
Will do BassHunter. Ill call him tonight, I believe he is working days right now. If I remember correctly the figure he shot at me last time we talked was $3500.00. I think that is reasonable. Ill let you know for sure later tonight. Chris Coupel Paulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.
Probably a stupid question, but did you check to see if all the wires are still connected to the back of the switch, sometimes older blade connections will work themselves loose.
Yes they are connected as far as i can tell.
Check the circuit breaker on the panel if one is there. Otherwise you will have to trace it from the switch. It is operated by the same power that lights the Carling switch on a 1998. So you have power to the switch. It must be in between the pump, or it could be the ground connection to the pump as it comes from the terminal block. Always start with the terminal block when tracking a wire problem. Hope this helps! BCB
When referring to the terminal block, where exactly is that located? hate to ask stupid question but just dont know
All of the wiring for all of the pumps is bundled together all of the way back. Another question would be where is the circut panel?
There is none, jsut those little button breakers on the Pro Aeration panel or it may be depending on the 20 amp in the rear if you dont have those. There is no fuse panel. The main wires on the terminal block on the transom, which is where the ground to the pump comes from. BCB
