I feel for you guys waiting for your ordered boats! I bought a showroom boat. What is your dealer telling you about delivery date?
That he has tried to check on it but still nothing, supposed to sign papers at the bank tomorrow on a boat i aint even got, again like i did on the first one i ordered
Didnt I see a post where you placed the order like several months ago, maybe 3? Man I hope it gets there soon for you. Im still waiting on just one fender as a result of a trailer issue. I know my situation isnt a priority as I know they just try to fit my order in between big orders.
There are no secrets on boat schedules. The process went through revision last week and were pending a conversation with representatives in Tuesdays sales meeting at BCB. Your dealership can get answers from his representative. The next 30 days is set on production with a frozen period. As with anything ordered, there is an unknown period till it is scheduled (picked) for production. Boat orders are not picked (scheduled) till the molds are organized on the varying models and preparation times required. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
The only person who can find out where it is in production is your dealer, who talks to the person he deals with at BCB. Is your closing date for the boat loan locked in stone or can they hold the rate until the boat is delivered? Mine took 2 weeks longer than expected and my loan company just held the paper until it arrived.
Youve likely had your boat on order longer than I but I understand your frustration. I am aware that I ordered a new model with a high demand but we are coming on 6 weeks now and neither I nor the dealer have yet to even get a order confirmation back from BCB. I realize this is a busy time of the year for them but a bit of communication goes a long way. Delivery is supposed to be before January 31st but Im quickly loosing confidence.I have no doubt it will be a great rig. But I do think the factory needs to do a better job communicating with the dealer and in turn their ultimate customer, the guy placing the order for a high $$$$$ boat. Again, a little communication goes a long way.
I think one has to realize that they have ordered a one off boat, even if its just the colors. If they were making 100 replicas of the same Eyra, or any other model, Im certain it could be produced much faster. But, theyre not…people are basically ordering a hand built unique boat from a company who is not a conglomerate of BPS, and who takes great care to ensure the boat is as perfect as it can be. I ordered a Sabre FTD AE in February of 17 and did not get the boat until April 20. Was I anxious to get it? You bet. However, I got EXACTLY what I wanted, equipped the way I wanted, and understood up front that it was going to take a while, even though my model was not one that was backed up in production. I was told 6-8 weeks, and it was 8 weeks and change. The wait was worth it and I would do the same all over again. I ordered a PII in the mid 90s and it was about the same time frame. BCB cuts no corners just for the sake of faster production. My dealer had to play phone tag a bit to get a time line on my Sabre. Its just the nature of the beast when you are dealing with a company like BCB that takes great pride in their product. JMHO
Again, the Representative can access the lead time and get the build information once they are set for a schedule. Even information on a Dodge truck cant be received till till they set it for production. We are building 16 different models to coordinate molds, hundreds of option parts and engines. Dodge builds one truck line and options. We totally understand and again we have communicated with the representatives. BCBThere are no secrets on boat schedules. My boat is a promo boat, but still it has been ordered since july 6th.however my boat is supposed to b here by saturday or 1st of next week.but finding out any information is like pulling teeth,i am happy getting another new boat but dont like the no communication issue.i called the sales vp Dallas and he said they wasnt communicating well with the dealers.i woulda been fine with the time frame on building the boat but you dont order a new boat and just forget it until you get the call saying it arrived.just glad i wont have to go through this again for a while.
