Like BCB said..”it is not definate” but you may see a good difference…I went from a 23 Tempest doing 63 and hitting the limiter to a Fury 24 hitting 66.5 and still hitting the limiter….Ill be trying a 25 Tempest tomorrow. The Fury is a great prop and you will see better lift and mid range with the prop with the added benifit of a more top end. You might lose a little hole shot with a load in the boat. I love the Fury 24 and wish that I could afford the Fury in a 25 for cold weather running. Ill post reports of the 25 Tempest if they are good….lol ElwoodElwood…..Bass Cat Proud
Elwood let me know how the 25 tempest does for u . i want to buy a fury but not sure wat pitch i should get
I just run the 25 Tempest today and it ran fine….I have some tuning to do to the boat to get the max out of it but over all it had all of the lift that I wanted and tamed the rpms down to 5400. I l;owered the jack plate before I run it thinking that was what it would need…. I think that the Tempest can actually run a little higheer then the Fury. If I could only have one prop, it would be……The 24″ Fury Better overall performance Very tough Is as fast as the 25″ Tempest…..so far The Fury does not have as much lift as the Tempest…..though the Fury does have more than is needed…. 25 should work just fine, unless you are pushing that 26 Tempest up into the 5950 range, then go to a 26 Fury.
Whats the max rpms you would like to see with the 25?
Right at 5850 to 5890 is the torque range on the top for that engine.
If you need a 25 fury let me know as i have one with about 5 minutes on it I am probably going to part with in the near future. I want to try and run it one more time this weekend weather permiting before i sell it.
New Kent Cougar wrote: I have never had a prop reworked to where it performed like it did when i first bought it. I was looking at the Fury. Is the 25 too small or will i need a 26? The props that youve had worked in the past were probably not tuned and balanced and only repaired. Therefore, it depends on the shop that youre using. Good prop guys will do the work and will add performance. Some will charge as little as 225-250. Some even get as much as 500. The latter not being worth it. As BCB stated, if you have a strong 225 pro xs, then get the 26 Fury. Otherwise, get a 25. Good luck.

What year is the cover and what condition? Does the lettering just say Bass Cat Boats? BCB – can you let me know if this cover will fit the 2010 Puma FTD? Thanks, John
It is three years old and never been used my boat is a2003 cougar ftd with mercury 250 xs. the cover says basscat in red letters
Should fit fine on a Puma or Puma FTD, since this is a Cougar FTD. The strap location might be a little off, since it is the original hull, though should work fine.
Jacos Marine seems to be very competitive in pricing. This is where I bought my FURY! http://www.jacosmarine.com/
Just bought a 27 fury from jacos a few weeks ago 469.00 plus 20.00 shipping
