Hole shot

Not sure what motor you have but you might need a cool weather and a summer prop. I have a Puma with a Merc 250 and I run a 26 Fury in the summer and a 27 in the winter. Down here in South Texas theres just too much extremes in temperature to run one size Fury if you want performance. Maybe youre in the same situation.

What would the hole shot RPMs window be? Top end RPM is mid to upper 5800 What is a starting point for engine height?Last edited by Basscatp4 on July 1st, 2013, 7:44 pm, edited 1 time in total.

I just purchased a 24 Fury and it came with the holes drilled. It needed no plugs compared to the 25 Tempest, which would cavitate without a couple in it,Wish you had a 24 Fury to try with the hole already drilled to try it. I believe it would definately help the holeshot. I believe your engine may be too far below the pad. When I first installed the Fury it help ALOT, but as I continued to slowly raise the engine heigth, the holeshot came in quick!!! Like day in night within less than a half inch. I am about 3.25 below pad and its near perfect. Every hull is different, so it will require some time.
