barrigj:
I have the 23p Trophy Plus fitted with Cavitation Ring and all holes plugged with Solid plugs. I am also running a 3” Jackplate due to garage restraints on my 2020 PII w/ 200 ProXS 4s.
I just received a Bravo I FS 24P. Has all solid plugs. Should I try that first or remove a couple?
BTW, removing those new hubs is a pain. I failed multiple attempts, and had to get a friend with a press to get it out.

Do yourself a favor and buy the old style hd hub if your running a torque master lower unit. Ive managed to get that new style hub out with a 2lb mini sledge but one slip and your props done. I also think if you found the right area or a small bottle jack you could just push it out that way on a truck frame

They don’t fit. Prop shaft is now larger.
Paul I’m looking forward to hearing about your experience with the Trophy and the Bravo.
Well, a little time with the Bravo 24 tonight. Very disappointing. Mid 60s and couldn’t get over 5500 rpm. Hopefully it’s a motor depth issue. Plate is flush now, and I suspect over 4″ ptp. I will measure then raise Friday afternoon and shoot for 3.5″.

My 2021 eyra with 250/ tm houses the hd hub fine, others have done it before me. I run the removable one in the bravo, and left my pressed one in the 24/3 fury. They changed to the press fit to reduce gear case or prop chatter which I’ve personally never had an issue with on any of my outboards.

You’re going to have to show me a part number because I am simply not following you. There’s not a lot of hubs for the fat shafts.
Oh, and install is almost as difficult as removal. I had to put it in the freezer and then lube it to get it 90% in. The rest was done by screwing it down. They don’t like sudden forces but respond well to steady pressure.
Any update on that 24p bravo PMantle? I was looking at getting them same prop for my P2 but it sounds like it might need a 23p bravo. I ran a 24p bravo on my last boat (179trx triton) and the more I adjusted the jp up the better it performed.
Two trips with the jackplate up just a hair under 1/2″. Much better! Could not get to WOT this time due to lack of skill. Will report back soon as I get a feel for how to drive. Trim is totally different from my Margay. I need to get off my butt and figure out PTP and where neutral trim is on my gauge.
Pmantle. This is the style hub I’ve used it on my 2021, testing a few furys and bravos. I hear ya on swapping that thing out, you need a hydraulic press to do it easily, otherwise its just a nightmare to hit out with a mini sledge and socket.
Again not sure of the shaft diameter on the 200’s but the 200 xs, is a the same V8 as the 250, so I would believe the same lower unit.
I somehow deleted my picture.
So, ignore everything I have posted here. Almost positive, based up serial number, I bought the wrong Bravo. I don’t know if the seller advertised it wrong, or if I saw the single set of holes and assumed it was an FS. Pretty sure it’s the original Bravo which runs a little stiffer.
Back to the drawing board. Now not sure what pitch to target in the FS.
Jaco’s just got a 24P FS in so I should have it by Friday.
Pmantle, I am very interested in how the Bravo runs on the PII w/ 4s. Please post numbers and thoughts when your can.
