I saw a house in La. with a lean to built on the back of the Garage just big enough for the outboard to fit in!!!! somebody must have really wanted that boat.!!! na just kiddin, good idea for a person who likes to home engiineer!!!
sounds like your puck is not mounted in the right place. Check first to see that it is not loose, you may need to change where it is mounted.
Honestly I dont ever turn mine on unless I want another source of temperature. What speed does it go away at? I would assume no placement of the transducer will work above 40-50 mph anyway.I have fished Rayburn and understand your delimma but at 40 mph with a steep sided hump it wont matter what that thing reads- youre always 20 feet ahead of what its reading and then theres the distance injected by the delay multiplied by your speed. You outta fish in a body of water that has jetties…Theyre vertical!I guess I am crazy but the map card on my gps is far more helpful at a place like Rayburn where good mapcards exist.C.O.D. Jr. III
This is different guys! The unit is freezing. We suggest you contact Lowrance at their customer service number and see how to adjust the internal menu on the LCD for Inshore instead of Offshore readings. The reason is the default is for ocean use, which has depth and long transitions. The inshore setting is in the menu and you will have to reset it to every time we understand on a 500 series. The larger units may retain this memory. BCB
Your transducer may be mounted where it is getting turbulence at speed or you may be getting electrical noise from the outboard.Or, the change in depth is too quick for it to catch up to it if the depth range is set to automatic. First thing I would try is put the depth setting on manual with a range of 0-100 feet.
I have an lms 480 and mine does not read on pad at wot i have to trim down and run a little slower for it to track the bottom hope this helps
This is why a few of us like the old flashers. They are the only thing I have ever seen read well at speed and at real time.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.
i have a 2008 PII. i bought it out of state. they were very little help when i bought the boat and now theyre not a dealer anymore for basscat. anyway, i have had the boat a year this month. there is not dealerswithin a 120 miles of me. the storage box on front deck just in front of the ice chest, the inside lights have never worked in the compartment. all the bulbs are tight and do not look burnt and all the connections seem tight. can you suggest what i might trace to find the problem. thanks
Im not BCB…but my grab pole is 52″ tall. It easily will fit into your garage…if thats what youre wondering about, with room to spare. At least mine has in two different garages.
It will depend on the angle and height you keep your trailer.
Try looking at the connections on the wiring to the switches, or short (jumper) out the switch and see if that brings the lights to life. Please give the guys in Service a call at 870-481-5135, M-F, 8-4:30pm CST. They will be glad to help,BCB AdminLast edited by Bass Cat Boats on April 27th, 2010, 4:08 pm, edited 1 time in total.
750 GPH is a good median. The 1000 pumps over produce the outlet diameter. If this has a Vision touch pad there is a hidden button right in the center of the circle and there should be an open lead from it. Shh, dont tell anyone though.
We had an issues discussion at the meeting on Tuesday and it was determined that we would address brake issues as we could as long as they were simpler. This one is simpler and they will be able to assist. There was a discussion over an individual wanting a bearing repack and master cylinder, wheel cylinder, brake lines and new shoes. That is too time consuming for the Invitational unless it were an emergency situation. We can not justify taking a man down for two or three hours at this time period. Hope to see you here and we should be able to handle yours. BCB
Thanks BCB: Repacking bearings before we leave here so not an issue.
Always be sure your boat is left with the nose elevated for storage in rain storms. It is almost the more the better, though not really as too much elevation can lead to a leak potentially. The boxes are top sealed, and there are no drains as water out means water can get in. This has been a BCB method for several years. The water is probably top ingested, though a day use box is often one of the driest on the boat. We go to extremes on the boats to seal the areas we know are a possible seepage area. They use neoprene bonded washers on the machine screws, silicone other areas when setting parts, foam on the lids and Stan Pro seal trim on the openings. They really work at trying to prevent issues like this. We really hate that you have had a leak that caused you some grief. The locks all leak some, no matter which brand of latch assembly. The 2010 Southco style is better, though still allows some moisture to penetrate. Since your boat is a newer rig, try visiting your dealership and have them run a leak test on the compartments. And a water hose will not test the boxes for water leakage. It requires more volume than a hose supplies. Here is a link to a help aid for whomever tests the boat. http://basscatowners.yuku.com/topic/2137Again, sorry you experienced this and we hope we can all get it handled.
