Thanks for the replies. I might add, I already have an original Hot Foot for it. Would you happen to know the part number for the Premium or Platinum throttle cables? Are they that much better than a Teleflex cable? Another idea I had was making a mounting block out the plastic material that butchers blocks are made of. That way I could shape it the way I wanted. I will also check into the slide mount.
Thanks for your patience in answering all of my questions. I got the Pro Trim installed and it works great!
Got my new throttle cable and hotfoot ready to install. Does the old throttle cable have to be disconnected at the control box also or only on the motor end? Also, how far in on the flat of the floor does the hotfoot need to be for mounting? Dont want to go through the hull. Anyone ever tried using those screws and plastic inserts like you use in drywall for mounting a hotfoot? Just thought it might work giving a little extra hold rather than just using stainless wood screws into the floor.
Im wondering if I need to pull my drain cover and seal the opening to prevent this from happening to my floors. Judging from the number of posts lately about floors and stringers this may be a common problem.
I too struggled with how to store soft plastics and to be honest I never liked having them in a box. I settled on a small nylon duffle or gym bag. I leave the baits in their original package and separate them by type onto wire clips taken from an old metal stringer. Its easy to find what you want and you can toss the whole bag into a storage compartment.
Gary, I recommend you contact Eddie Pope. Hes probably one of the best lower unit repairmen around and very reasonable on his prices. Eddie Pope 147 Wool St., Charleston, Tn. 37310 Ph. 423-336-5618
I did find that on the FAQ section and I think the brake shoes and cylinder rebuild kit is correct but the cylinder itself on the Torino is a double cylinder instead of a single.
Did some more testing on the bilge pump and Im still confused as to the problem. Automatic pump works when I lift the float swith and when I switch to manual. Manual pump didnt work in either position. I found that if I ran another ground to the manual pump it would work, but it also comes on in “auto” mode when I lift the float switch. Since the pumps are on different grounds, does this mean they both share the same “hot” wire? Are both pumps supposed to work in auto and manual modes?Last edited by Alabass on August 17th, 2008, 6:44 pm, edited 2 times in total.
Ok, thanks. Both pumps do work in “Auto” as well as “Manual” mode. I just wanted to make sure thats the way they were supposed to work.
Dont know the length of yours but I have one good 13 cable from a 95 PII if you need it.
Rack type.
I have a 95 PII and would love to have a tandem trailer but were a long way apart and my trailer matches my white boat.
Do they make these for older boats like my 95 PII?
DUH! Never thought of that. My inability to comprehend is directly proportional to the simplicity of the problem! Thanks.
Sorry if I seemed impatient, I know those guys are covered up. Scott called me yesterday afternoon and gave me the information I needed and I ordered my carpet. Thanks!
