I doubt I can be of much help.. but I have your exact same set up 07 Puma 250XS, and I am running a 26 Trophy 4lblade and it seems to pop me up just fine.

loujoe-Just did a google search for go-jacks, they do look slick.. I would assume with 4 tires you need 4 go-jakcs?

I do a ton of cranking… are you using a rod designed for crank baiting? I often think that people use too stiff a rod for cranks… also, it may have been an issue with color or action. maybe a change in either would have had the fish hooked deeper/better. Hooks may have been an issue as well, but I would look at the other options as well.

Hey all, I am on the Shimano ProStaff, so I am a bit biased. If you have a Shimano Reel that needs work, you can send them to Shimano and they will fix them. Working retail stores, I have heard few if any people that were not pleased with the service they got from Shimano. As far as the new Curado… You will not believe me till you try it yourself. I may like it better than my few year old Chronarchs. I havnt been able to put a ton of time into the new reel, but so far, very impressed.

LOL– I love the confidence.. wish you were up here in MN… I went from a 18 Triton with a 150 to my 2007 Puma with a 250 Merc pro XS Racing eng.. I could use some seat time with someone who can get the dace out of the ole girl. She chine walks pretty good when she hits 72 mph… Currently I am waiting for the 24+” of ice to melt so I can “practice” some more!.. LOL

Im not Phil.. But I keep my “Starters” in those two saddle compartments.. The lures and tackle boxes that I plan on using that day.. others go into that larger storage compartment.
