Funny to see this post… I just bought the other one (red/white/silver) at GF Marine. 2007 Puma and absolutely love it… As soon as I get my garage cleaned out, cant wait to see if she fits in the garage, once I figure out how the pop axle works.
Just set the pop axle, backed it in hugging drivers side as far as I could, disconnected, swung in the tongue and shoved the nose over… Fit like a glove…
Should of mentioned the back of the jackplate is 1 1/2 inches above the slide
No hotfoot. Prop doesnt appear to have any work done on it…
Kind of leaning towards not just motor setup… Bright side is at least I got a two year warranty on the merc…
I use the yuku app on my I phone…seems simple, just hit advanced option from the typing screen and can go right to your photos and attach…
Thanks… I think I may of figured it out…A10 manual said if you put your bilge in auto, turn the main power off, auto bilge would still work…just thought it was weird… They did put a switch in the hole, but yea, I wasnt happy…thinking after getting the A10 replaced using the toggle as a disconnect for my power pole…nothing like having an extra switch in my dash that I really didnt need
Well, back to the drawing board. I guess thats one of the drawbacks in buying a used boat…definitely think at some point previous owner had an issue with the terminal block and it wasnt fixed correctly. Mine didnt look like one of the pics I found in the FAQ. Mine has no red wires and where I believe they should be doesnt seem right, as if the start of the block got fried.. I guess I need to visit a BCB dealer or get a wiring schematic to figure this mess out. Almost seems easier to start all over. Thanks all for trying to help. I wanna get this done right and it will be a learning experience that will help out down the road at some point.
Agreed on the RPMs but speed is off the GPS 65.6 was the best I got with the motor flush….went thru all different trim levels…Ill keep tweaking and maybe try a different prop.
Also agree it could be the operator…
Would be cool night fishing with clear blue fluorescent line…
According to this that may be right
Thanks for the tips…at this point, Ive got some ideas but looking at all the pics of smoked ribs glazed with some sauce concoction is making me hungry…at least until the grill get delivered…
Last I read the latest mercury service bulletin indicated Optimax use the DFI Pro Xs use the premium plus. It said the optimax runs at a lower rpm therefore needed the detergents mixed with the oil to ensure it burned cleaner. The proxs operated higher rpm so the premium plus was fine. But I believe that was 3-4 years ago. That seems to be disputed both ways since the oil came out. But Im sure many will chime in here. Ultimately I dont believe either will void any warranties as I dont believe there is proof the oil cause premature engine failure. Lots of opinions on this issue
Thanks again…I did order the dual probe thermometer…I didnt even realize there was tools like that.
