Thanks for the input and info. Very helpful. One other (novice) stupid question….can someone tell me what the “FTD” moniker stands for?
Awesome color scheme. Love that.
Ive tried many different waxes and cleaners over the year. Best Ive ever used, and have used for years now– is Waxing Frenzy.Check it out on the web. Amazing stuff.
Are you original owner?
Is that salt water?
All those products listed do a good job.Ive also been known to stop after getting off a gravel road, and prying out the rocks and pebbles wedged between tread on the tow vehicle.A little extra effort sometimes goes a long way..

Thank you. My rule…dont compromise quality. BCB was clearly planted in that category.I intend to keep this boat for a very long time, and it will spend the majority of its time fishing its home lake of Lake Travis, TX, and second home Lake of the Ozarks.Falcon Lake is on my radar for a Spring excursion.I2D
I have the same unit — only one year old — and Im beginning to think its possessed. Ive already sent it back HB once (6 months ago), which helped some. Now its starting to do other strange things — including that Ive entirely lost the ability (and selection option) to adjust the volume on the unit. This leads me to believe I have a more serious issue, having to do with the firmware / circuit board.Ill be arranging to send back to HB AGAIN. Not cool.I2D
Very nice.
Congrats Zach and BCB. Change is good, and innovation even better.I2D
On the cup holder / travel mug topic…I stopped trying to find a travel mug that fit these cup holders. But since a regular coozy fits nicely in those cup holder openings (everywhere on the boat), I just use a regular cylindrical hot/cold liquid container and put it in the coozy. Fits nicely everywhere. My current one is a “tall” version acquired from Starbucks. When I plan to go fast, I use the cupholder by my right foot at the helm and not the step box.On the carpet cleaning topic. I had a good sized coffee stain on my carpet. Came out pretty well when I did the flood the carpet and scrub method. I had done a quick round of Resolve carpet cleaner spray foam, let dry, then vacuumed first before flood/scrub.I2D
This is great info and perspective, so thanks everyone for taking the time to respond. Funny, but Id never considered NOT having an anchor on a boat — for peace of mind at least. I have thought that I could trolling motor my way to wherever I might need to get to in the event of an outboard failure (had to do that for a couple of miles in a friends boat once). Im all for saving space and weight, so I may just suck it up and get over my motor failure phobia — and leave the anchor on the dock. Thanks again, and tight lines. I2D.
PM sent, Cory.
Appreciate all the input here. I currently tow with an Excursion. Picked up an FX45 last week, and was just wondering about others experiences.Tow rating on the 05 FX45 is 3,500. I know the cat and trailer would tip near 4,000. Ill just stick with the Ford. I2D
