I am one of the interested parties, very interested. Mr. Lucas took time to show me his boat last Saturday night and I can only say it is everything as advertised. Could pass for new, as it has obviously been cared for in an extreme manner. I would have to echo 1rudebees remarks below that Mike appears to be a stand-up guy and was very willing to answer my numerous questions about his boat, Bass Cats and fishing in general and enjoyed meeting him. Once I get someone to take my Z-9 off my hands, if available this boat will have a new owner.
I plan on attending the Fishing for Freedom to be held in October at Truman Resevoir, MO also. Have pushed the info out as far and wide as I can….
Great fish; not so great hat! Especially after they put a whoopin on my beloved Redbirds Im headed to KY Lake next week, any advice (besides switching team!)
Greatly appreciate everyone who took time to share their thoughts. As always the different perspectives reaffirmed a lot of what I thought I already knew and definitely shed some light on some items I never gave thought to. For instance, I gave almost no consideration to the PIV due to the length alone, but after further review it was definitley a solid option I should have given more consideration to. However, I am now locked in on pursuing a Puma FTD. Flyswatter, you went above and beyond & definitely appreciate your feedback. BCB, your opinion obviously carries a tremendous amount of weight and appreciate you weighing in. Tae73, thanks very much for the ride offer, if I was going with the PIV would definitely take you up on it. The seating comments were nothing I had ever considered, but now that I think about it, definitely something to factor in. I am not tall so the higher seating actually helps me both with the ease of getting in-&-out of the seat, as well as driving visibility without a lot of wind. Corky, Thanks for the feedback and Im at the point where age comments are starting to relate and trying to ignore them, so thanks for sharing them, but for now Im gonna try and stay in denial!. At the end of the day, the Puma FTD is my choice due to it appeals to me, strong recommendations from other owners, appears to be a good fit for me & my applications, BCBs input and its a tried and true product. Ill let you know when I become an official family member and send out some pictures in the months ahead.
Congratulations! Hope you and them boys enjoy the heck out of it!
I totally agree with all comments above. As for customer service, a lot of companies talk it, but almost none walk it. I owned 4 other brands of boat before my Puma, and none even came close. One brand I will never own again, due too they not only did not stand behind their product, they treated me like I was a complete idiot. Another brand I fished out of the boat for 3 years, before I finally fished out of the boat with everything working properly (at least that company stood behind their product, but still frustrating experience). I think the specialness of BCB starts with the quality of their products. Very few even come close. As I look at more and more boats, they seem so basic, unappealing and lesser quality than I ever realized. Even my friends and non-boaters have noticed. Its unfortunate that finances keep a lot from spending the extra to get quality, service and a constant smile. Unless something drastically changes (which I doubt), I am Bass Cat for life!
Do you info on website, phone number or price? I have a friend that is looking for this size of boat…..

Good looking boat!! Best of luck and the Bass Cat experience is like no other……
Have had issues since day one with my HB 958c, and HB has been absolutely no help in resolving the issue. One of the poorest customer service experiences I have ever had. Extremely disappointed. I will be glad to move on to another brand with my new boat.
I had one of the first Honda 4-strokes on my first bass boat. Very dependable, quiet and efficient. Probably even better now. They were heavy and not very quick or fast back then. It was great for me back then. Even thought about looking into one for my new boat, but since I travel a lot and have a super Mercury mechanic close, I stuck with the Mercury. Good luck and congrats on the new Cougar!
Nice birds!!! Thinking about going out in the morning and see if any will talk to me….
Midwest Marine in Harrisonville, MO has a 2012 Pantera II. Jay Zimmerman (816 380-7891) is the guy to talk to, and he is great to deal with. Good Luck!
I would say primary reason there is not a lot is one they just started making the Jaguar a few years ago, and secondly it is an expensive boat and not one that you buy to turn around and sell quickly. They are, in my humble opinion, the ultimate bass boat. I have a 2011 with a 2012 Verado on it. I will be looking to sell it next fall for sure, but could be inticed to sell now if someone wants it bad enough. You can email me at jewett_cd@yahoo.com if you want to know more or have Jaguar questions in general. Take care….
