Agree. Mike is the former pastor of one of the larger Baptist churches here in Texarkana. He is a follower of God and prays for Gods guidence in his endeavors. As stated, he is a caring, “real” person. Just my .02 JohnJones Trolling Motor Services870 773 3474Motorguide/MinnKota/PowerPole/Lowrance/Humminbird

It would almost have to be electrical since that is the only thing that will engage the electric motor that drives the pump. sounds like either a switch problem or you have the blue wire (or blue/white) shorting to a positive wire some where due to vibration. If youre using an onboard charger, my guess is you have run them dry. For some reason Interstates are bad about going dry when left on an onboard charger–even the ones that go to float. JohnJones Trolling Motor Services870 773 3474Motorguide/MinnKota/PowerPole/Lowrance/Humminbird

My website, http://www.jonestrollingmotor.com , has some trolling motor wiring diagrams. Just remember on a three battery system, the outboard must be connected to only the battery that is feeding ground to the trolling motor–in other words, the outboard and the trolling motor must be grounded to the same battery. If you hold the mouse on the picture, a box will come up in the lower right corner. Clicking on it will enlarge the picture. Thanks, JohnJones Trolling Motor Services870 773 3474Motorguide/MinnKota/PowerPole/Lowrance/Humminbird

As mentioned above, youre running on 12V and not the full 24. the 80# will run on 12 — but not efficient and not for long. If you have a white wire, then you probably have a three prong plug and the boat would be wired for 12/24V. If this is the case, at the plug, moving the red trolling motor wire to the unused connection should give 24V. Using a volt meter, you can check it at the plug. The ground is usually the “L” shaped terminal. If youre still confused, you can call me at 870 773-3474. Depending on which style you have. I stock the auto resetable breaker that connects to the battery, then to the trolling motor lead. John [email protected] Trolling Motor Services870 773 3474Motorguide/MinnKota/PowerPole/Lowrance/Humminbird

Sounds like armature problems. A 2006 should be still under waranty if youre the original purchaser. An ASC will take care of it. JohnJones Trolling Motor Services870 773 3474Motorguide/MinnKota/PowerPole/Lowrance/Humminbird

Since a 24V, or a 36V, is a series circuit, the breaker can be put anywhere in the circuit, but close to the battery is best. The crossover is a good place for an inlne breaker. For the trolling motor to work after you took the breaker out, indicates a problem with either the breaker or the connection at the breaker. As you said, you were getting the voltage, but when loaded, the voltage and amps would fall and not run the trolling motor. I do hope you installed another breaker.JohnJones Trolling Motor Services870 773 3474Motorguide/MinnKota/PowerPole/Lowrance/Humminbird

Sounds like a bad armature. When it stops, it is landing on a dead com bar. rocking the foot pedal, or picking it up out of the water is turning the prop enough to set the brushes on a good bar.JohnJones Trolling Motor Services870 773 3474Motorguide/MinnKota/PowerPole/Lowrance/Humminbird
