    Coop1:

The ABT (Alabama bass trail) just released information saying the Conservation and Natural Resources has informed them that the boat ramps and new docks at Smith Lake Dam will NOT be completed or useable for their March 21st tournament. They are moving their launch site to Smith lake Park in Cullman. Is this going to interfere with the OI?

I hope it doesn’t get moved that far…  I’m staying on the lake and running to the launch by boat each morning.    Currently about an 8 mile run to the damn but if it moves to Smith lake Park it looks to be nearly 30 miles!

Was told today that it won’t move from the damn area unless there’s a monsoon.

Brian-  Congrats on the Eyra!  You will love everything about it other than the Holeshot….   Does the boat have a hydraulic jack plate?

I went thru a bunch of props trying to figure my 17 out.   I ended up with a Bravo XS 27P and really liked it.  Holeshot is much better and liked the way it drove and handled.  Speed on top end bumped 75 with half fuel and heavy tackle.  2 guys, heavy fuel and tackle with full live wells still over 70.   If I had it to do over again I would have tried a 26 as well.

No, it was much better than the Fury.  27 with livewells full 500 pounds of anglers, 45 gallons of fuel was a little slower so if you tournament fish I would recommend the 26.

27 Bravo with full fuel and dry wells took about 3 sec to get on plane from a dead stop.

I’m running a SHO with a Bravo on mine.  Great combo, worlds better than the 3 blade

I ran a 27  Bravo XS on my 17 Eyra.  Pretty good performance and loved the way the boat drove with this prop. No poles but always a heavy load in the boat.  Holeshot was ok but everything else was great.  Are you running a hydraulic plate?

With a heavy load I was barely breaking 6,000 rpm so felt like a 26 would be perfect.

I will like Mike reply on Fury 3 issues but if you hold the Fury and Bravo both in your hands there’s no comparison in the quality IMO.

Wayne-  I have a 15” Solix on a Geigertech mount on my Caracal console.  It’s pretty tall but I can see over it.  Reference I’m 6’2”

3.5” prop below pad is a good starting point.

Loved the SHO on mine.  Stronger out of the hole and options to get significant gains on top end.

I spent a few days in one last month.  They do pretty well.  Top speed that I saw was 73 with 45 gal of fuel and light tackle.  This boat had 4 graphs, 4 Group31 AGM batteries and 10’Power Poles.  I was very impressed with the Holeshot it was 2 to 2-1/2 sec with the 250.
