The 19’8″ is incorrect. I just bought a 2020 Sabre with the 150 Merc Pro XS, because  it was supposed to fit in my 20 foot 2 inch garage. Even with the swing away tongue open and the motor down to the side, I have to turn the boat about 40+ degrees to get it in.  Thank God my wife still has enough room to get her GMC Acadia in too.  I have a about a foot between the front of the boat and the back of her vehicle.  However, I do love the boat!  It has an 8 inch slidemaster manual jackplate, but I believe that is standard.  I called the factory before I bought the boat and asked them how they came up with that measurement, but they couldn’t tell me

I lowered it even and was running up river against a good current at 58.8mph.  Coming down river with the current 63.4mph.  It still does not lift the boat much.  In the compartment closest to the bow, is rain gear and life jackets.  next compartment has all 16 of my 3700 planos full of tackle. I’m running 3 lithiums for my Ultrex, so it’s not heavy in the transom either. I’m going to play with the height some more when the river flow slows or i visit a lake which has little or no flow.  Rooster tail is close to cowling height, but should I be getting a rooster tail at all???

My RPM is 6000-6100 at WOT. I looked back at a text I sent my friend when I came off the river that day of messing with the engine height. I was doing 59.8 against the strong current and 63.9 with the current, but will do more testing when there is no current. My local lake has been drawn way down to a dangerous level so will probably go there once they allow it to refill, hopefully soon!

I have a 2020 Sabre, Merc 150 hp ProXS 4-stroke, running a 25 pitch 3 blade tempest. Runs 60.4 mph(6000rpm) with me(190lbs) full wells and full gas(33 gallons). When my friend fishes with me(180lbs), boat will run 57.6 mph.  I fished a tournament a couple of weeks ago, and the co-angler was about 260lbs and he had a tackle bag.  Boat would not get on plane and ran only 44.8 mph(5400 rpm). I was so disappointed, I didn’t even make the 20 mile run I had planned to make to fish. I love the boat, which I bought November 2022, but the boat not planing even with a big guy bothers me!!!!!!  BTW, the manual jack plate is 1 inch raised above flush. When you find out the answer, please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Mike
