It is a shoot thru the hull and it was working. It is the original unit that came with the boat when I bought it in 2005.
Also the depth flashing occurs when the boat is not on plane. Just drifting the depth start flashing.
I did some checking this morning and it does appear to be a transducer problem. It doesnt feel loose but I can push down on it and the clicking noise changes. What are my chances of knocking this one loose and being able to use it again or should I just plan on getting a new one? The up side to this is I just might replace the whole unit and get something new.
I spent 2 + hours this morning removing and reinstalling my TM to replace the decketThings I will do next time1. place a thick nappy towel under the nuts and washers so they dont get away when you take them off2, I will epoxy the washer to the alum bracket and the nut to the washer.I have already enlarged the hole so I wont have to do the next time
what wires to i use to connect my new HB bow mount. There is a bundle of wires behind the trolling motor plug. Also how do I splice into them? do i use the same connectors that you you on your truck to hook up the trailer wires. You just slip them on and close them without cutting the main wire
I finally found the old wires. I had to pull out the Acc/Nav switch to find them. They were pushed back toward the center of the boat so you couldnt see them through the TM opening. Thanks
I have a 2005 Classic with a 2.5 L Merc and 24 Tempest Plus. What prop(s) will the 2.5 L Merc turn OK. Im looking for more top end. Currently running high 60s
if you have the serial number you can go to the mercury parts site and it will tell you
I agree that we did not see what the pressure was before it was acting up, so that would be something else to check. Is the fuel pickup somewhere that has easy access?Under the drivers seat there appears to be something that can be opened. If there is “trash” in the tank, how would you find/remove it?Thanks
No this is something that I have been fighting for awhile. ( probably mid Feb ).I had the engine serviced in March hoping that would cure it but it didnt. The local Merc shop has had the boat several times since without being able to find the root cause.I live on a small lake in NC and I have just been putting up with it because I could eventually get it on plane if I was by myselfIt just seems to be getting worse and I would like to get it resolved
