I just got through break in and here is where I am at. With the 25 trophy, full tournament load, full fuel tanks, and my partner I topped out at 71 MPH at just over 5700 rpms. There was a pretty good chop on the water and a 25 mph wind. With the 25 trophy I got a great hole shot and the boat has excellent bow lift. I am waiting for my free spare and will try it but I am pretty happy with this set up. I think it will get even better as I get more comfortable driving it. Runs great and looks even better.

Sorry Bob,I was going to e-mail you today. Discussed with my dealer yesterday and he said the tempest may not be my best bet. He is going to trade out for a 26 Trophy plus. Sorry!Phil

Gary,Where are you measuring to get the engine height? I have a 2004 FTD with 225 EFI.Currently run 25 trophy plus. I am not getting the RPMs, about 5600. Running about 68-69 mph. I wonder if engine height would improve this.

    Thanks,

Ill get it in and have it repaired and switch out that roller. Thanks for the quick reply, I know you all were busy this weekend. My partner pulled out at the last minute and I could not make the Invitational…cant wait for next year.

I have had 2 Keelguards and I swear by them. Fairly easy to install and they stay stuck!

That is correct, I lived through one and fought it. I was told by the attorney that reviewed mine that different States hold differing views. I live in Illinois and they dont hold noncompetes in particularly high regard. Many companies use them as a scare tactic and will not spend the money necessary to defend them. You will be best served to have your attorney review the wording of yours. Many are not worth the paper they are printed on, so I am told. Phil

Great looking wrap! Can I ask you where you got the green sticker on the hull? That would look great on my Cougar! Thanks

A few weeks ago I got into some 6-7 waves on Kentucky Lake I have a Cougar FTD, after getting accross the lake back in the marina I knew “Why BassCat”. Handled the tough water with no problem.
