05 Puma. Dual console. Standard 225 Optimax. With just me alone, empty livewells, full belly tank (dont use rear saddle tanks as I cant seem to keep water out of them), I can reach 73 with a 26 Trophy.Full tournament load with water in the livewells, partner, etc, I can reach 70.Im thinking about buying a 26 Hydromotive as Ive heard some really good reports from some friends of mine.

One thing is for certain, we will be pleasantly surprised Im sure!

Cant wait to see what I can add to my 05 Puma which by the way, is nearly an 06 Puma from all of the retrofit. This is more fun than tinkering/upgrading the Harley!

hookset has come to the same conclusion as I. Ive thrown away the original yellow roller on my Puma and have resolved the issue.

Jim, I noticed youre from Virginia. This is in fact a known Yamaha issue by some. I recommend contacting Robbie Patterson at Propeller Dynamics http://www.sandersonpropeller.co…sProp.htmlRobbie replaced my thrust washer earlier in the year and apparently just in time as I was showing premature wear as you described.

Jim, I about fell out of the truck when Robbie told me the price of that washer. Have you checked your oil pump by the way?…theres a bulletin out for replacement

I believe you were asking that if you went with 3 vice 4 batteries in the battery compartment, would your holeshot improve? If that is in fact what youre asking, I would try a quick on water test with the removal of one of your trolling motor batteries. If you see an improvement, you may even want to remove your built in charger and convert that into a portable charger.I fish very shallow tidewater rivers as well so Im always looking for a better holeshot. What some people may consider a decent holeshot, others such as myself may not. A 36V trolling motor on that boat must really get you moving! My rather heavy 21″ Champion came with a 36V 101 MinnKota but I swapped that out with a 24V trolling motor and it works just fine.If removing weight from the stern doesnt help and your outboard is sound, then detailed prop work as mentioned above may certainly help.

Jerri still talks about how kind Scott was when we visited the factory back in Dec 2005.

I lived there in the early 80s and visit often. The Cooper River is one of the best bass fisheries Ive ever experienced. If you like seafood, you have to go to Hymans Seafood in downtown Chas. You really need to tour the Battery and take the Ferry to Ft Sumter.Have funp.s. shrimp and grits for breakfast!

if you recall the mini-series “The North and the South” from the early 80s, many of the scenes were filmed downtown at the Battery. They simply filled the streets with dirt. I was stationed on a submarine out of Charleston during that time and we were invited to a lot of the filming. You can also view the confederate submarine HUNLEY which was found a few years ago with the remains still in the submarine. I went down to Chas for the funeral of the sailors as I also served on the modern day HUNLEY…which we decommissioned in 1994.If you have small kids and youre near a body of fresh water, whether it looks like a flooded ditch or a pond, the alligator population has really exploded. Just a few days ago, a man somehow survived a gator attack at Santee Cooper. Pretty gruesome story so I wont go into details…

Is that how your Dr described it? Actinic Keratosis (AK) is another form of pre-cancer that a lot of fair skinned fisher people suffer from, especially on the ears, nose and the back of your hands. By all means, talk to your Dr. Ive had to use Aldara cream several times on the back of my hands…not much fun!

I bet if you guys were to team up with the Tervis company, you would sell a ton of those! Tervis is made in the USA and makes a great insulated cup perfect for morning coffee on the way to the river. Bass Pro Shops has recently latched on to them!
