Thanks Webby. Yes it was very cool to be able to spend some time with Rick and “talk shop” on a number of issues. Rick, thanks for making the trip, sharing your insights, making such a great product and being patient with my sons. I cannot wait to get the Eyra on the water! We are hopeful for a great 2011 for MarineWorks and BassCat !

Congrats! What colors are you going with? I assume black 250 on the back?

I do not see Charcoal as a color on the “Design a Boat”. Is it close to one of the grays? My Eyra is getting wet for the first time tomorrow!

JCopper,I have been fishing a P2 on Dale for the last 4 years, just upgraded to an Eyra (as I also fish KY Lake a lot). P2 is perfect for Dale, you will love it. Congrats! There is a good group of guys that run SmallJaw (www.smalljaw.com). I have gotten to know several of them and this may be a good place for you to start.Where is your place going to be? You will find me generally around mid-lake from December to March. I try to get as much time down there as I can during the winter. You can make a few of your own jigs, grab some 6lb floro and go catch a TOAD! I would not bother with that Float N Fly, it does not really work. Look for my blue and white Eyra and I would be happy to let you know if we have anything figured out. Enjoy! Alan

Webby,Sorry I could not make it down to Lexington with my two Jr. BassCat members…we have been dealing with some health issues with little sister. All is good now.Very cool that Rick was there again, would certainly have liked to say hello to him and the rest of the gang.I will probably be down at the shop in a few weeks to visit Danny and will stop in to say hey.Glad the show went well. GO CATS! Alan

Gary,Great to meet you also! That is the way it goes sometimes….and why they continue to call it fishing. It was a rough trip, I was trying to get my 70 yr old father and 11 and 8 yr old sons hooked up but the wind and fronts made it difficult. Even if the bass fishing is spotty, I can usually find some whites and yellows to keep them entertained but not this time. We just hit a few bad days. I think fishing was much better earlier in the week as well. Thanks for the compliments on the Eyra…it handled wonderfully in the wind. Although when it is above 20mph out of the N or S on KY I prefer to just stay off of the main lake. I moved to the Eyra specifically due to fishing KY and also wanting a bit more room, but ran a P2 from 2007 until 2011 and loved it. Your P2 is very sharp !Yes the Cats were out, I saw a Sabre FTD, Pantera, your P2 plus another and of course Capt Kirk (one of the guides that puts in at KenLake) and his blue Cougar. Not sure what year it is but he fishes out of it everyday and has for years. (BassCat strong!)My Dad really enjoys eating at the Willow Pond (loves the beans and hushpuppies) so all was not lost. It is just good getting out with Dad and the boys and a pleasure to run into you as well. Thanks for you note, hope to see you on the lake and drop me a note anytime. Alan

Not sure when it is this year, but MarineWorks has had Cats there the last two years. You might check into that one.

Gary, Thanks. Dont spend any time on BBC, but will try to check out. Thought I might get lucky here.KABOT? Would love to come, but will just be getting back from annual Ontario “catching trip”. My thumbs may still be in ICU.It is still a slim possibility I could make it. You have done a great job putting it together, looks like it is going to be great. Alan

Good move and thank you BCB! I had tried and tried and finally got a hold of Pete recently. He took care of a minor issue for me, but you could sense the stress in his voice.Having a strong parts department is critical to maintaining the customer experience we all have grown to LOVE….and expect! As was mentioned, it is typically more than just filling a simple parts order.Pete does a great job, glad he will be getting some help!
