Hey guys- I have a 99 PIII with a 200 Optimax. Im turning a 25 Tempest Plus. Im getting 5700 RPMs and 68-70 with tourney load. The hole shot is not awesome, but its tolerable. I have the motor set at 3.25″ below pad and 3 medium plugs in the prop. My 99 P3 does the same thing. I havent seen any gas leaks either. It sure smells strong though. I dont remember it smelling like that with my Ranger. I hope this is normal. Maybe BCB has some thoughts.

I havent really looked into it, but it looked like all the pumps were the same. I dont know which pump is supposed to do what. What is the Proaeration supposed to do anyway? Thanks guys. Sure enough, the hoses were swapped by the previous owner. I swapped them back to original. Ive got the same boat with a 200 opti on it and run it at 3.25″ below pad with a 25 Tempest. Not sure what the Yamaha prop likes, but Id put it at 3.5″ and work up from there until you get some steering torque and then drop it .25 and that should put you where you need to be.1999 Pantera III 1999 200 Opti 25P Tempest Minn Kota Maxxum 70 2 Pinpoint 7520s
