To Hooter, bworner,Flyswatter and Bama96 thanks heaps for all your comments , i too have heard the yamie 150 punches above its weight at max rpm and with a full tank of gas, live wells full and 2 on board i can put up with waiting a few seconds to get her moving , if i can it to run 65 mph i will be very happy ( we run our boats in saltwater a lot and i think 65mph is on the cards) I currently have a yamaha four stroke that runs a max rpm most of the time……240 hours and i have only had to change oil and 2 impellers , it never lets me down even though i run it at full noise most of the time.Really good to hear an evinrude owner giving the yamaha the thumbs up too ! I am only a skinny bloke (so is my regular fishing buddy) so i think the 23″ prop should work well.Guys i really appreciate your comments , cheers

Thanks everyone for your input , i still have to weigh up what i will do , financially the sabre with a 150 would be better but i keep reading posts that say most people dont regret getting the bigger boat when you have a choice, however a lot of people regret not moving up to the larger size boat when they had that choice , Yes it will cost me more and is stretching the budget ,but seeing as i am keeping this boat for a least 5 years i have to the decision right as i cant change my mind a year down the track.cheersDave.

Basscat,SimmoI agree with you about Kim ,he has been very helpful with any questions I have had ,and thank you Craig for showing your boat to me one time at Glenbawn, I just made the comment about the change of dealerships as on the surface it looks like it is changing hands ,but it is good to hear Kim is still handling things.I apologize if anyone was offended, and further to this I will still keep saying good things about Basscat boats to my friends and anyone else I meet during my time fishing,my current boat wont last forever and I hope I can get a Basscat in my Garage one day.Dave.
