I recently upgraded my 97 Motorguide,73# thrust,to a new MinnKota 101.The bolt pattern matched up(you have to take one side of the Minnkota bracket(the plastic part) to see the other predrilled holes on the mount. I did drill 2 more holes compared to the 4 holes that Motorguide has because Minnkota uses 6 holes to mount(on this particular model) I also installed aluminum flat bar underneath as Basscat has suggested.Hope this helps!
