Looks great. Ive been debating the same upgrade on my 01 Classic.. Havent decided if Im going to keep it or move up to a 20fter. Love the boat hard decision for me. Took out my boat on the small lake by my house for a quick first ride – Wow I never dreamed of the differents in ride and handling on this boat compared to my previous classic… Three people in the boat and still hit 70mph… More impressive to me was the handling and ride (And storage). Im paritial to Dodge as Im a Service Tech at a dealership. I have an 07 1500 quad cab with the 5.7 hemi and 545 auto trans. The engine is equiped with the MDS system which adds some gas mileage. Gas mileage is somewhere between 13.5 -14.7 towing depending on speed and where Im travling. The 09 /10 1500 5.7 hemis have more horsepower and torque. Warranty on Dodge vech is now 5/100. Depending on how far you drive and tow you may want to consider a desiel. Two things to keep in mind if you are thinking about a diesel – (1) Maintenace is at least twice as much (oil change 75.00-100.00), (2) All of the new diesels are now equiped with emissions which has created its own problems with all manufactures with o2 sensors, turbos, Cat systems… If you decide on a diesel just research to ensure that they arent any issues depending on manufacture. If you decide on a Dodge and have any questions Ill be glad to try and answer them for you. My current driving habits dont justify the added expenses of a diesel or I would move up to a 2500 for the suspension. BigAl
I do appreciate there support and plan on going on there website to let them know that. I will say that they have converted me to two of there lures that I may not have purchased or fished otherwise. I totally fell in love with two of these baits fishing one time with them on Sunday at my home lake. The way fish ATTACK these lures is pure fun. Plan on purchasing these lures ( Hope the Top water hard bait becomes reality) my next trip to the tackle store. That is one reason I was hoping someone didnt like or would not use the top water bait so I could have a second one “Just in case”.tksBigal.
I have an issue with one of my graphs. currently waiting on a new one. Estimate was 7weeks. Currently at approx 6weeks and havent heard anything yet. I had the good fortune that it was part of the package on the boat I bought last year and had the dealer do all the leg work for me. They seemed to have the infulance to get the process started at least.Big Al
I know a week ago sunday it took 19 pounds to win a local jackpot tournement. It took over 16 pounds to win our club tournement. Dont know how much rain they got and how it effected the lake.Big Al
Ive had my Puma FTD for a little over a year. Went from a Classic w/200. That was a rock solid platform up to 6k and 72 mph. Minewill usually run up to about 75 before the Chime walk gets going. Last year I had it to 77mph with a full load and two people. The additionalload seem to help the chime walk. I know it has more in it just havent got there yet. Been a full year with other issues. I hoping to start working on my jack plate adjustment next month. All around great platform – Fishing, performance and rough water ride. This morning had itto 76 but with extreme chime walk. Small lake with not a lot of room to slowly get to WOT. Big Al
Tried jumping it with cables from my trolling batteries and then I was able to flag one boat down and try jumping – no luck.Thinking about it ran the pumps and two flashers (one HDS) from about 7am til 240pm. Never started big motor after first stop.Plan on buying a battery Jump box to carry in the boat after I resolve battery issues.tksBig Al
